Custom solid roller per Tony's specs. Used with 1.65 rockers.

Edelbrock round port heads. These started as Kauffman ported heads for a previous 455 that flowed 330 cfm. They were still in fine shape after the 455 blew. Tony wanted to work them some more for the new engine. A lot of time spent porting and reshaping the combustion chambers got them to 360 cfm. Was cheaper to improve these for the time being, rather than go with a set of Tiger heads. However Tiger heads may be in the near future.

Victor intake. Tony reworked the intake quite a bit. Some changes done to actually kill some bottom end torque. Sounds counter productive but this is a small tire street car.

Engine all buttoned up and waiting for it's turn on the dyno. Same 950 HP used on the 455. Interesting dyno session using 2 other dominators as a test.

This thing was on and off the dyno over a 4 week period, fixing this or that, trying different things. Hats off to Tony for spending so much time on this engine making sure it was right before it left. Interestingly the 950HP was within a few HP of the dominator, and the little carb actually made more average torque throughout the pull, so it was decided the little carb was the better choice for all around drivability.

Now installed and running. Sorry this took so long to post. The engine has been done a little over a year now. In that time it's logged about 4,000 street miles. Engine has been flawless, drives with no fuss and behaves nicely, runs on pump gas and doesn't overheat.
The car itself my father purchased brand new. It was pretty well sorted out with the previous 455. Some suspension tricks, nice wheelies with 1.5 short times. Uses a continental 10" converter and 3.73's in a 12 bolt. Plans now are to tighten the converter a bit, and likely do a 9" rear and knock the gear down to a 3.50. With the locomotive torque curve it really doesn't need much gear in it.

Sweet ride! Excellent job. I really dig the look of your car. What were the final dyno numbers? What kind of track times are you seeing?

I can't post the dyno sheets on PDF, the files are too big.
Hp peaked at 5700 rpm where it made 724hp. The torque was peaking at the start of the pull and Tony didn't feel comfortable pulling the engine down further where it likely may have been higher, but it started at 760 ft lbs and stayed very flat, still making 702 ft lbs at 5400 rpms.
We never got the chance to try race gas in it and play with more timing where Tony felt there was more power on the table. But on pump gas with conservative timing my father was happy and left it at that. The engine was dyno'd with the same 2" hooker super comp chassis headers used on the car as well.
Tony as well as another well known engine builder mentioned hitting 1,000 hp on pump gas with some tiger heads. But another $5000 makes you think, when is it enough? Especially in a street car that doesn't have necessary safety equipment.

Track times will come when the converter gets tightened up. However there won't be many attempts, this car will never see the bar it already needed with the previous 455 the car ran bottom 11's with at a 3900 lbs race weight. 10's are easy with this new engine in street trim, the car works well enough and actually hooks good on the street. We'll have to see if we can get a full pass in it before getting parked. It's never going to have the safety equipment required to run at a sanctioned track. So it's mainly going to be a fun street car to cruise in.

How much stall do you think it needs? What tires do you run at track and on the street?

I need to talk to Continental and give them the specs again but my guess around 3200, I do more street driving. I have 295's M/T drag radials on there.

What are the fittings on the side of the intake-N2Os? Or vacuum for street stuff like PB?
