It's a 24 series - top post. The 75 is a side post.
Here's a handy dandy ACDelco parts lookup: http://parts-catalog.acdelco.com/cat...arts%20catalog |

The 34 will fit, but it's a little larger than the 24.
I personally don't like to see an off brand battery under the hood of a vintage cars. I don't buy the tartops, but I do buy current ACDelco batteries. That's what is in all my toy cars - the '49 Caddy, the GTO, the '72 Camaro and the '81 C10. If (and this is a big "if") I had a vintage Ford, I'd buy a Motorcraft battery for the same reason. Of course, I work for an ACD/MTC/Mopar warehouse distributor... CCA ratings are, well, overrated. Typically, a car needs about 1 CCA per cubic inch to start. Back in the day, the OE batteries were about 500 CCA's under the hood of a Pontiac V8 car. The more CCA's, the thicker the lead plates in the battery, which provides more power. But that also puts the plates closer together which can lead to the plates shorting out against each other. The top of the line ACD 24 series (24 Professional Gold) is 700 CCA - which is more than enough - my best semi truck batteries that I sell to my fleet customers only have 700 CCA's. The Professional Silver series has 600 CCA. Reserve Capacity is probably a more important number when making a battery selection than CCA's. The Gold series has 130 minute reserve, the Silver 110. |

Go for a 24PG ACDelco battery. I also hate putting some off brand battery. Those tar top covers are neat though. http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/tar-t...V4saAk978P8HAQ
