Default Pro Touring Pontiacs check in

I thought it would be a good idea for the small Pro-Touring Pontiac community on this board to get together in a thread. Post up some pics, a description of your car and maybe some events you've done or are planning to do or whatever it is you do with your pro-touring pontiac. Weather its SCCA, Goodguys, Optima USCA, daily driving, canyon carving etc....

Ill go first...

1967 GTO, SC&C suspension, new 434" Pontiac mill is getting built by PaulK, Richmond 5 speed, 9", C6 brakes, FiTech EFI.

Iv'e done Goodguys autoX, Street Machine nationals auto X, Waumandee hill climb, Midwest musclecar Challenge and this year i'm adding Optima Search for the ultimate street car at Road America.

H-O Racing lower springs
Koni shocks

Rear is:
Hotchkis upper and lower boxed control arms

Still yet to purchase: larger disk brakes

Nick, what R&P ratio are you running? That's a 4+1 Richmond and not the OD model, right?

UMI Front Upper and Lower Tubular Control arms w/ Tall upper Ball Joints
WS6 Front Sway Bar

Boxed Rear Upper and Lower Control Arm( forgot the brand )
UMI Extreme Rear Sway Bar
UMI Frame Braces

Hotchkis Springs
Bilstein Shocks

Stock Power Steering converted to Fast Ratio

Wilwood Master w/ 9" Booster

Front Brakes converted to OEM Style Single Piston Calipers

My love for RWL tires and just not finding a 17" rim that excites me has made it difficult for me to give up on the 15" rims...... except for 1 style

The Weld RT-S

I just cant afford them.... yet...

Once I have the big wheels...... Big Brakes and Hydroboost will follow..

I finally have something to contribute! 78 TA with a mild 400, factory crank, forged rods and pistons, Lunati 262 cam with TH350 and 3.23 gears running through an Eaton trutrac going to the ground on 18 x 9.5 TSW wheels and 275/40/18 rubber, square. I have 750# springs in front and Viking DA shocks on all 4 corners with the factory leafs and sway bar in the back.

I have driven in several Optima Street Car events, SCCA Pro-Solo and Cam Challenges, Good guys events- only on Sundays tho. and local events through the different clubs in the DFW area.

Over the winter I have been making a bunch of changes. I fabricated a pan hard bar for the rear and G brace for the front, added C5 disc brakes front and back, Edelbrock heads and Dougs headers and updated the booster and MC to 4th gen set up to help keep up with the new brakes.

I don't have any cool action shots like ya'll do but here is my Pro-Touring Lite car. Due to some engine issues, I have not been able to keep up with the Jones's in the pro-touring scene but hopefully that will all be behind me with the new 434 that Paul K is helping me with. Anyway, nothing real fancy. 17X8 American Racing wheels, Third gen 1LE brakes and steering box, Rancho bars, Koni shocks, Hotchkis springs, GW control arm bushings and SFC. Outside of the 434 going in, next up are LS1 rear discs and C4 ZR1 fronts:

Welcome! Is there any chance you're doing OUSCA Road America this year?

Didn't get to finish my post last night.
After taking the T/A to it's first autocross in 15' I realized how much fun it can be, but also how much help the car needed. Each run I would lose brakes mid way and the 45 year old suspension gave no feedback.
Last year was the start of the improvements!
Put hotchkis coils and leafs on it, konis on all four corners. New subframe connectors with solid mounts.
For brakes it now have Wilwood 13" 6 pistons up from and right stuff discs on the rear. Modern MC and booster to go with that.
After those changes and a few others the car is totally different, in a good way
I am by nowhere near done as I am still running my numbers matching engine, which I will pull as I don't want to hurt it. Build is similar to Nicks.
Anyways, happy to see these awesome Pontiacs out, there isn't much thats more fun then throwing these cars around the track.
I'll try and put up a video later on me running on a road course: )

Nice Bob! Any chance you have some more engine pictures? I'm thinking about doing a serpintine cinversion. Is that the March setup?

Yes, March serpetine. The kit comes with an eddy waterpump, but im using a flowkooler. Im very impressed with the March quality, well worth the cost. As a bonus, the sales rep Doug had the a/c compressor manifold powdercoated black for me, thought it would look better and he was right.
I can take some more pics, will have to resize them later.
OBTW, your project has served as an inspiration for me.
My numbers matching stuff is in the shed too
