Ozzy, wish you were in the Chicago area. I would have a bunch of small electrical jobs for you to help fill in the time. Good luck to you.

Thanks Kevin. I wish I was in Chicago too, I ate some of the best pizza and hot dogs ever when I took a vacation out there in 11'.

I just wanted to show my landscaping project. Took me 2 weeks by myself and waiting for a couple days of rain to go by.
I had to remove 10 yards of dirt/grass with a wheel barrel and shovel. Then lay down 9 yards of road base, compact it.8 yards of decomposed granite(deegee) and compact it 3 times. My friend did help me with removing the dirt/grass , but otherwise did it by myself. I bought some flat 1/8"x6"x10' steel and bent them at 90 degrees and welded them together to make my small faux retaining wall.

I will never do this kind of project for someone on my own, I would rent some equipment or get some day laborers! My back was sore for days, that's another reason why it took 2 weeks. I had to do a couple half days cause of my soreness.

I made this bench a couple years ago.

Gave my kitchen a facelift, removed the ugly pink and white tile and pink sink. stripped my cabinets and painted them. installed brushed nickel knobs and hinges. installed white subway tile and an Ikea butcher block counter top.

The more i look back at the work i've done, the more i feel handy. Show me the projects you need help with.
