Default 72 GTO dash embossed Pontiac.

People on Facebook forum say there is or was a badge on the right side of the dash.
I had a 72 GTO for 25 years and it was the word PONTIAC embossed in a recess there. Which is it?

I'm actually looking for that Pontiac script for a 72 dash, if anyone has one. Guy that had the car before me hacked up the dash to put the cheesy cover on it. What was really cool was just dashes called me when they were doing the dash and asked if I wanted the indentation for the Pontiac logo.

Dave my apologies! It was in perfect condition when I sent it. I refunded your payment. Sorry man. I may have another one. I will see if I can find it. If I can, I will package it in a heavy duty box.

Damn - that sucks.

If not I'll be replacing the one in my 72 convertible in the next week or two - there is a cover on the dash now but I wouldn't be surprised if the original emblem is still there. If I end up with an extra and you still need it I'll send it to you.

Thanks! Mine had a cover too but they chopped the dash to get the cover on. A lot of the dash padding was cut off for the cheesy cover to fit.
