Default 1974 Grand Am Model

Anyone ever seen one of these. I bought it years ago, some time in the 70s and painted it like the 74 I bought new. It is a Lindberg Line #364.

It looks like it might be a dealer promotional model. For many years, car manufacturers would contract with toy companies to produce promotionals of their current model year cars. Promos were then sometimes given to potential customers and/or to the new car buyer of that model of car.

No, it was a Lindberg Line model $364 that I bought, assembled and painted. I primed and used a rattle can Admiralty Blue that was available back when the car was new, and then the burgundy interior with the white seats like my car. The model only had wheel covers, not the honeycombs that my car had. Those 1:43 kits had little interior detail, but the exterior is pretty good. I painted it over 40 years ago and actually is much smoother than the picture shows. The hood and doors are fixed, so there is no engine compartment. Tires are hard plastic and need a little black touch up.

Yes, One just sold on ebay for $33.00. they show up from time to time there. I have a couple of them assembled, not painted, and one still in the box. They are out there if you want another.

Also have one of those models. Painted it to match. Although I have 75 LeMans Sport coupe this is the closest I could find.

That looks great! The Trans Am flares look good on it.

Where did you get a 1/25th scale? Is that scratch built? I have never seen one that big.

I do custom resin casting, primarily GM collonade cars: 73 Grand Am, 74/5 Grand Am, 73 GTO/Lemans, 77 Can Am, 77 LeMans 4 door sedan, and 76 Grand Prix. I am finishing a 73 Buick Gran Sport and 76 Buick Century Pace Car.

If you got a Can Am, it was either a re-sale or someone else's body casting because I don't do shows. I sell either on EBAY or privately through personal request or referrals.

What is the cost of a 74 Grand Am kit? Do you have one listed on ebay?

I don't do a large window car and the GTO/ Lemans front end is separate. You remove the Grand Am front end and replace it with the GTO one. I can remove the louvers and open up the window but it is cast as a Grand Am.
