Default Motel in Norwalk

Someone recently started a thread about the Econo Lodge in Norwalk having rates at $65. a night . I booked a room at that rate for 2 nights on March 28. Received an email today saying that rate would NOT be honored and the new rate would be $199. a night. What !!!

Wondering how many other people have recd the same email ?

That was my thread, they have not sent that to me but if they do I’ll be calling and threatening legal action.

CEDAR POINT amusement park drives up motel prices within 100 miles of Norwalk during the summer season (right when Norwalk happens). Also, the Lake Erie boating/fishing season jacks up prices too.

It's like booking a motel room near a college football stadium on a game weekend. Motel should have known, and adjusted prices accordingly.

A bit of advice. Contact the Hotel directly to make sure your reservation is valid and the amount is correct. Without getting into a long story about what happen to a group of us who booked through a similar site I’ll leave it at that.

Thumbs down norwalk rooms

went to Norwalk three years ago. made reservations there in advance. drove all the way from central n.y.. when we got to the motel they told us that we had no reservations. we showed them our credit bill slip. they stuck us in some crappy old back room. the place is a real "sht hole anyway. you will not be missing anything. rent a motor home. and then enjoy Norwalk . thanks bob.
