Still a little too early for pricing but the goal is to create a superior head and match or beat anyone's base head prices.
We will prove these on our race cars before they are offered for sale.

Any projections on a date for your testing? You starting with the tall port or wide port for your testing before release to the public?

We have a few test cars so probably a d-port in the mix too!

Are they going to have extra cooling around the center ex ports ? Any plans for intakes ? How long are the valves expected to be ?
Be careful choosing your foundry. It would be great if they had a finish like a E head or CV-1.

Default I'd guess that these might be CNC-machined.

But GZ hasn't said one way or the other.

JMO, but I would start with the head that does not have siamesed exhaust ports and does not have the pushrods in the ports.

This is the race section, right?

Extra Cooling is built in and a variety of MADE IN THE USA intakes under the Warpath brand are planned. Here's a piece of our next ad:

WARPATH Intakes will be available for single and dual 4150 and Dominator carbs, Street and Race Tunnel Rams, plus Fuel Injected and Supercharged applications too. If there’s a demand for something, we’ll Injuneer it!
WARPATH Cams will be available in our STREET CHIEF Hyd and Hyd Roller profiles, WARPATH Race Cams in Hyd, Hyd and Solid Roller profiles and our WARPATH Pro-Race Cams in 50 and 55mm Solid Roller profiles.

The lack of porosity and a quality finish are qualities we'll insist on from the foundry. I built patterns and aluminum castings for many years so it'll be right, or we'll find someone else to make it right.

We are building the brand with very traditional, yet highly modernized Pontiac heads first.

We will certainly expand into more specialized heads as the brand evolves.

There are plenty of pretty fast Pontiacs with traditional exhaust ports including yours!

Thanks for your input.

Yes. Three levels of CNC porting will be available. The beauty is, you can start with a great flowing "as cast" head, then step it up as your "need for speed" and "budget" dictates.

Think you might at some point get together with Dave and cast some of his 520+cfm non pushrod in the port RAVs !!!
Its a thought. I know he has at least thought about casting them, kicked it around.

We're talking about that because the billet heads are awesome but the cost keeps them out of reach for the average Pontiac guy.

I agree with your thoughts above for a "clean sheet of paper head design". It appears from the pics that these guys have a very traditional Pontiac head design in mind with improvements and a better chamber. Keep in mind that a Pontiac head with a 5/8" giant tube right in the middle of the intake port just ran 243 MPH in the quarter mile. There are also Pontiacs with two exhaust valves side by side running deep into the 6's. It can be done, but it's not easy.

Congrats on that pass by the way! It's amazing how many improvements can be hidden in plain sight on our very traditional Pontiac heads. There's a lot of injunuity going on here.

We will expand into other designs but we want to give the other RAV guys a chance to recover some of their investment.

Yes, it's great to see more and more PONTIAC major components coming to market. Unbelievable the choices we have now compared to when we began to plan for the Grocery Getter race car. That was in 1992 and the only choice was factory iron and Larry Wenzler with his early aluminum heads. With your pattern making experience and hands-on approach, this will all be interesting as time progresses.

I guess I should clarify my point. I am talking about a N/A head.

Exhaust valves together. Fixed with bandaids.
Intake tube in port (RAV). Works, but would be better without.

I understand making heads that most people will buy first, to get one's ROI.

Just voicing my wish. Carry on.
