new engine build
I am currently getting a 455 block prepped for a new build on my Judge to replace the tired old girl currently installed. It will be a 60 over build with a 4.25 crank (468) aluminum heads, hyd roller with a CI of 10.4. I am very interested in putting an EFI system on.
My thoughts and questions are thus. 1) As I would like to retain the ram air set up. I am wondering about hood clearance and fitment issues. 2) Would a Torker 2 be a good intake as I believe all the aftermarket EFI systems require a single plane set up? 3) I only have experience with the FAST2 system....Are other makes a better choice? I am not concerned about the fuel system upgrades that are required as each make would require it anyway. Any other issues or elephants in the room ?

The Torker II intake is a great intake and will work well with the EFI system. One thing to be aware of is when you upgrade your fuel delivery system. While you can certainly go with an external high pressure pump, I would strongly recommend you go ahead and bite the bullet and go with a new gas tank set up for an in tank pump. Much quieter and better longevity too due to keeping the pump cool in the gas all the time. I've done several external pump deals and the in tank pump is the way to go IMHO.
