Ad says "The engine and transmission were rebuilt at no expense". That's an impressive accomplishment.
And he still wants all that money for it?

A nice car, though.

The grammatical errors were to many to list, so I'll just paste ty here for brevety:

Quote:
This is a very rare car It has the 370 6.1 cu inch v8 with tripower I bought the project from the original owner in 2006. 'The car is from arkansas . There were very few of these models built and probably not to many with the original pink paint job as well. I have been searching for parts for this car for over ten years. Every part of the car had been redone and rechromed by finding a good donor piece from the dash to the glove box . The chrome bill alone on this car was 36000 dollars. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at no expense the tripower was really tricking finding the right parts..IF you want it factory perfect it would need new hose fastners and a different air cleaner for the tri power ..Personal liking. This car was built for my dad and he no longer has intrest in the car. He will stick to his vettes. I have not seen another one of these for sale in a while but the ones i do find are just doll jobs not actual restoration with correct interior and shifter and guages I dont belive there to be another on like it in the world . I have only seen 4 in my life and 2 were junk. IM NOT AT BARRETT JACKSON WHERE THERE IS A BUYER AND SELLER FEE..AND IF YOU BUY IT HAVE PERMISSION FROM YOUR WIFE ACCOUNTANT WHOMEVER IT MAY CONCERN TY CAR CAN BE SEEN ON BUILDERS WEBSITE IT WAS CAROLINA CLASSIC CAR RESTORATION BURLINGTON NC IM SURE IT WILL POP UP TY

On Jan-24-19 at 19:41:55 PST, seller added the following information:

the reserve is dang near the buy it now so please bid to let me see what the current market value of this car
From what I saw of the Barrett Jackson event this last weekend, that car would have been lucky to fetch $125,000. Probably more in the 80K - 90K range.
He's right about the color though. I bet less than 20 Bonne verts came off the line in that combination.

I don't know. $600k may not be enough. According to the pics, It transforms into a black Mopar after all.

I always love the ads that have a picture of a completely different car mixed in there.

Seller also has a '68 GS 350 listed. Looks to be pretty nice from the tiny pictures, but virtually no info in the description.

It has been relisted with that as the Buy It Now price. The original listing was indeed 600k.

A friend sold a recently concours restored '57 Bonneville last year for $110k I think it was. Drop dead beautiful car with many NOS parts and what wasn't NOS had been redone. It took him forever to find/obtain all of the stuff for it. That fellows dad may indeed have a fortune in that car but he is just upside down in it and will never get it back. Been there done that deal haven't we all.

I personally would rather drop a wad on a 59 bonne ragtop than a 58

That’s the I don’t want to sell it price. That or he’s bumped his head. it is a beauty though. Never again will any of us see that styling in a car. That thing is art on wheels.

Well at that rate after 2 more listings, it will settle in at a reasonable price and may sell. 600K to 300K. Next 300K to 150K Then 150K to 75K. Right about where he may stand a chance of selling it if that's the intent. It's also not a Bonneville, not sure why it is listed as such. It's a Chieftan, a much less desirable model as far as value than a Bonneville. It's a very nice restoration from what can be seen by the marginal pictures. The color, not for me but rare. My grandfather had a 1958 Oldsmobile Salmon over Gray. Another weird combination.

I looked on Hemmings just for fun and to check if I had lost my mind or something. I don't think so. There are 3-4 58 Bonnevilles on there with prices. Real Bonneville's not Chieftan's. 40K to 138K for a beautiful convertible in better colors IMO. It's condition also looked to be better than the pink one, at least from the pics. There was a nice looking coupe for 50K, but it was modified a little. So, 75-100K tops seems to be the approximate range for that car based on what's out there.
