Default POA valve finish

Does anyone know what the correct original finish is on the POA valve? - I'm thinking it was zinc plated but not sure. I had mine emptied out and welded back together, but want it plated correctly. Here is what i am doing. https://www.shopcenturyautoair.com/s...it_POAELM.html It comes back painted, which is what i expected. I would like to get it plated to the correct finish.

You are correct, the original finish was clear zinc. They also had a gray paint sealer around the welded area. Classic Auto Air restores POA valves and will restore the original finish.

I was on classic Auto Air site but didn't see anything about refinishing POA valve
The site seems geared to aftermarket AC systems and not factory AC parts
Do you have s link for the POA refinishing from them?

Look here. https://originalair.com/restoration-gm-poa-valves I chose to eliminate the internals and go with the temperature cycling.
