Default Dyno time Friday

Was just over to my engine guys place and he's just about done with a motor. He told me he's going to break it in before I get there with just the outer springs and if I want to he'll wait and Dyno it Friday when I can go over there. He's going to break it in with Pontiac headers that he has and his Dyno carburetor but when we actually Dyno it will use my quadrajet and probably my ram air exhaust manifolds. So it's the original 455 motor out of my 70 GTO and it's now for 463 cubic inch. Number 64 heads ported by SD performance to 254 CFM. Port matched stock intake with a 7040267 Cliff jet. Its 9.71-1 compression with a Crower cam at 232 /241 with .530 lift ,112 LS in at 108.5 icl. with the 1.6 rockers. Rhoads lifters. Guesses? Hopefully everything goes well.

Default Why doesn't my post count change?

No matter how many times I post my post count remains at 11.
Also I cannot find a link to start a new post.
Any ideas?
I would start a post for this question but I can't find the link to do so.

Default looks like my post count went to 12

Maybe it changes if I change the title?

To start a new thread you go to a main section like for example the street section that this is in norm if you look at the left top of the section there's a box blue box the says " new thread" hit that and type away!

My guess is 450 hp since your pumping out thru Exh Manifolds and even the best flowing runner on a iron Intake does not flow more then 220 cfm from what I recall without cranking open my notes / files.

If the headers are still on it when I get there I might have him do a pull and then put the ra manifolds on with my 2.5 " head pipes.

There's a few forums that the post count doesn't increment, like the Lobby and possibly the For Sale forums?
So, if you spend all your time in the Lobby it won't increase your count?

I guess he's got the cam broke in and the inner valve springs in. I'll take my qjet,ra manifolds and headpipes with me and make some pulls tomorrow morning. I hope the hft doesn't give any problems.

Hi Scott. I assume that is a flat tappet cam but I don't recognize it.
Do you have a Crower part number ? Is it custom or a off the shelf cam do you know ?
I run the Crower Ram Air IV replacement cam and like it but your looks to be larger and I was just curious.

Thanks.

It is custom hft but just a little more duration/ lift than the 60919. I guess he put it on his Facebook page warming up the motor. Redline performance engines. It sounds good... make some full pulls tomorrow. Actually he just admitted he made a couple of pulls but won tell me any numbers....and he's using a 650 CFM carb. Probably my cliff qjet should outperform that 650.

Please note that a motor of that cid with a iron Intake can make good use of a 800 cfm Q-jet!

Plus he must be using some type of adapter if he's using a square Holley.... those don't help. Not sure if it's a 650 spread bore. It could make a little more with a 800 but it's the correct 7040267 rebuilt by cliff so 750 will have to do.
