Default Robo Calls

Is anyone else NOT receiving robocalls since this pandemic started? Or am I just the lucky one. Haven't received a single robo or junk call in the last 3 weeks. Junk email maybe one every two or three days.

I get about the same number of them. The one yesterday was a home water testing scam.

I still get a few. Got one yesterday wanting to sell me a warranty on my 2013 Camry. I traded it last year.

I am getting fewer since the Pandemic started. Down to 2-3 a day now. Typical number 5-6 a day. Have had as many as 10-12. I don't answer any calls my phone can't identify, they have to leave a message. Sometimes the robo-callers do leave a message.

Default calls

They started up again this Wednesday. Different number every time. About seven each day.

We have Verizon.
Expensive for 4 phones, but unlimited everything.
Automatically blocks potential spam calls and emails with a red alert level chart.
They cant even leave a mssg unless you over ride it. Pretty cool.
They send system updates every so often to stay ahead of the spamers, etc.

Only had one “don’t hang up your google listing needs to be verified” this week so that’s a huge improvement. Maybe one or two others but irritation level is way down.

If the number isn't in my phonebook, the phone won't ring, but leaves an activity log of who called. So its best to leave a message

I like to ask them if they want to give me an extended warranty on my 1993 K3500 with only 270,000 miles on it................Click.......

Sometimes it's the 2008 Vibe with 300,000 miles on it, same reaction..............Click

If I mention my Lamborghini (which I don't have, LOL)...........Click

The robo calls have sure died down on my phone during this pandemic. I'm at a loss as to why though, heaven knows these people have no scruples at all.

In 2018, Americans received 48 billion robocalls. Armies of robo-callers that can’t be identified and generated by the millions from overseas servers....

Proessional magazines have been doing phone renewals:daily, 3x/ day for some.

So if i get one on the phone, i immediatley cancel the renewal saying "my policy is to cancel any subscription that use phone call renewals.".
