New Pontiac 464 Stroker Engine for sale
Hi - I have a Pontiac 400 engine stroked to 464 cubic inches being completed in approximately 3 weeks. All parts are new except for the block, Timing Cover, Windage Tray and Valley pan. The 481988 block being used for this build is know for being one of the the strongest blocks you can get.
Horsepower should be in the 450-475 hp range and the torque at least in the 525+ range (coming in at 3K RPM). Depending on how you tune it, it could be even stronger. I've included a sample final engine pic of what it should look like - along with a few pics of the parts that went into the build. Note that you'll need to supply your own valve covers, manifold, and all accessories. Parts list is also attached. I will post a pic of the completed motor as soon as I get it. I'm asking $6K for the engine and a $500 completely refundable deposit to reserve the motor. This should be a beast of a motor, very similar to those provided by vendors like Butler. I'll throw in shipping for free in the US at the $6K price. Feel free to ask questions. Please check my 100% positive feedback on eBay and I'm a long time member of the Trans Am Country forum with the user name of stros https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/dstrosbe |

Sorry about that, I changed my mind and decided to go with the Crower cam instead of the Summit one.

I'm in San Jose, CA. Engine is being built in Castaic, CA (Southern California). So I'd prefer to drop ship it from SoCal at this point, or you could pick it up from the builder if you live near there.
Thanks guys for your interest. Last edited by twilightTA; 07-28-2020 at 04:21 PM. |

Who is the builder? Private party or a Shop?

Hi Jim - this was built by a well known builder in SoCal named Geno Rojas. For certain portions of the build he did engage a local machine shop.

In case you're wondering why I'm selling it - I ended up getting a great deal on an E-rod LS3 and 4L70E tranny so I decided to change paths midstream.
I'm very tempted to go find a GTO or 1st gen Firebird to install this in but my wife will kill me if I take on another project like my 77 Trans Am Just hoping to find a good home for this motor with another Pontiac enthusiast

Hi - yes it's still available. The build is taking longer than I was expecting as some parts were delayed as a result of COVID. I believe the engine will be ready to ship in 4 weeks.
I've also asked the builder to break in the engine & provide a video of it running. So you'll be able to install it and drive it full bore right away

Is this motor still available? What stage of assembly is it? I have a set of aluminum heads that I would install, so I would be interested in discussing any options? I'm located in Nipomo, Ca.
