Chevy 454 Engine
My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly earlier this year, so now my mother-in-law is going through the garage trying to figure out what’s what. He has a 454 4BBL engine out of a ’73 pickup truck that’s been on a stand in the corner of the garage since 1985. I believe it was running when it was pulled, and still turns over by hand. It’s missing the carb, water pump, and distributor. Everything else is there. I don’t have any codes for the block or heads. I’m 500 miles away from her so I can’t check it out more closely, but my brother-in-law is near her. Do you guys have any ballpark numbers on what she may be able to get for this? Or what other info she needs to document in order to ask for a reasonable amount?
Thanks ...

I have several of these from the days my Dad worked at the GMC dealership as a mechanic, but it would have to be considered a core. I for one would never put it in something without taking it apart. $600.00-850.00 range I would say.
