Default Carlisle

Anybody heading to Carlisle? I went up with my buddy yesterday morning. Cold and Snowy, typical spring weather in Carlisle. I was a bit disappointed though. My buddy who was one of the few guys with 2nd gen parts passed away in Feb. and his absence was missed. I saw almost 0 second gen parts. My friend was on the lookout for vette stuff which was plentiful. I did pre order a few large parts to save on shipping and that was good. Ames tent was a big let down. It was completely empty except for a rack of tubs. Also I looked and looked and could not find Hemmings. I ordered a new subscription from them in Dec and have yet to receive an issue. I had a bone to pic. Whats up with that? Does not being there say something.............................
Seemed to be a good crowd for a Thursday, and still had a good day. Just didnt get to spend as much money as I wanted to, which is probably a good thing.

Whoever’s going, enjoy....... nothing like it!

I was there yesterday too. Got there just as the snow started. I didn’t spend a ton of time wandering around since it was so cold and windy. I went over to the auction for the first time and watched that for a while. There is a single owner 69 T/A RAIII hardtop there that is being auctioned off today. Looked very nice.

I found a NOS 1970 Chevy Blazer outer grille for half of Ebay pricing, so it was a great day.

I went Friday. Lots and lots of POS bondo buckets with shiny paint and inflated prices. Also, tons and tons of people with about one in ten wearing a mask, which I was extremely pleased to see. Most car guys have had enough..

Kerry, I went Friday. line was backed up on the turnpike. An hour later we were walking thru the gate. Haven't seen it that crowded on a friday in years.

There was a good crowd on thursday as well. When I go by myself the easiest route is the turnpike and I remember plenty of times being backed up at the exit. Last couple of years I have been riding up with my friend whom lives south of there, he sneaks in the back way on country roads. Much nicer and no traffic. Only hard part is finding parking.

Seems like mostly anyone with a decent car is now trying to sell it at the auction, instead of out in the field.

Great pic. You should have that made into a poster.
