Default Sail Panel Attachment

Trying to install my sail panels and I don't see any provisions on the sail panels for the square fastener pieces shown in the photo, and I can't find any of the actual fasteners or references to them on-line. I'm using the OER reproduction sail panels. Do I need these to install the sail panels? Any help with this would be appreciated.

on later 73 or 74 years (or maybe it was an option) that square is for the coat hooks, i used sail panels from a 74 in my 72 firebird & they have the square thing for coat hooks.

as keith posted many of the sail panels dont have provisions for them so they just use the screws.

Keith’s pic is right. One exposed screw.

The pic you posted shows Pontiacs initial plan to use industrial “velcro” to hold the sail panel in place. Two pieces on the back side of the sail panel and two pieces on the inner metal. I don’t this idea made it to production…
