Year One Repro 15X8 Snow Flakes
Already purchased the Ames lug nuts FT261P. 7/16 thread. YO says 7/16-20.
That difference worries me. Should I purchase the ones from YO QJ39S? I recall from the past research I did there was a loose problem with the YO rims. Was it ever resolved? Thanks in advance. |

I think the YO issue was with their 17". The 15" have a 0.710 lug nut shank, lugnut hole .750 why they are hub centric. 2.78.
The 17" had a 2.87 hub hole but the recess for the lug nuts is deeper and tighter on the lugnuts OD than 15"s.

x2 this has come up a few times and based on others posting their findings, the 15x8 was produced as per factory, correct hub centre diameter and machined to used correct snowflake lugnuts. The acorn lugnut use was their lazy fix for the 2nd run of the 17x9, instead of simply correcting he centres. Ongoing productions of the 15x8 stayed the same.
I don't know what lugnuts the Ames are but -20 is just the pitch and should both be the same, regardless of their lazy listing. |
