Default 65’ GTO gets a new set of CV-1’s 👍🏻

One of our CV-1 customers in Tennessee (Mike Moak) just got his new CV-1 top end installed on his 505 combo, the car previously had CNC’d HighPorts (380cfm) heads with a ported NorthWind manifold, Mike’s car is a 65’ GTO full steel car (except bumpers and hood) that he drives and is a simple pumpgas combination, the car would typically run in the 6.74-6.76 range in the 1/8th mile, so he was anxious to see what the car would run considering his new CV-1’s are as cast and the manifold also is unported … it ran a 6.45 right off the trailer 1st time out, needless to say he was very happy considering no tuning has been done yet, the only thing he changed was the heads and manifold, and yea pistons too because of the different valve angles but still flat tops, great job Mr. Mike 👍🏻

Hi Bill,
It has been awhile. How are you doing? I would like to add this to the pump gas list.

Can you give me some more information about the car and engine? Do you know how much the car with driver weighs?

Thanks,
Stan

REALLY cool car and always great to hear real world results. Pump gas engine with Pontiac blue is fantastic. Hopefully the owner updates as he tunes, heck of a first effort.

Nice job for Mike, he has been planning this swap for many years if i recall correctly.
Stan, does your spread sheet contain the date these results were achieved? It kind of lends context to your list. Cooper for example i think achieved his results over 10 years ago, Mine i think was all of 11-12 years ago. etc.

Its always great to see someone achieve their goals.

Yes it does. I don't have any date for you. So around 2010? Also if I have it I also list the track / location for the run.

thanks,
Stan

Brian,
I have 2 different entries for you.

For the '73 Ventura I have 2008.

For your 9.05 I don't have a date or very much information at all.

For your Dad's '65 GTO I have 1995

thanks,
Stan
