Default Butler Performance trans adapter for a 63 389

I am looking at a later trans for my 63 Bonneville and am seeing a pair of options for the adapters.
It seems speed gems $1250 kit and Butler Performance has a bracket for $250

Has anybody on here used the Butler performance adapter? If so did you need to weld on the spacer ring they sell separately?

If Im stuck with the only option being the speed gems kit Ill likely just look for a donor 389/400.

Thanks in advance

Well I bought the adapter and flywheel adapter ring. Guess we will see what happens. I’ll post up how it works out when I get going on it.
