I'm finding different info on different websites so I'm posting here to try and get it straight. I have a friend who has two 1968 400 blocks. The first is date code c118 (March 11 68) and is an XT block with casting # 9792506. The other is C098 WY 9790071. Is the XT a Ram Air II block or not? If so, any clue what it is worth? (besides the usual "whatever someone is willing to pay" answer.

To anyone just looking for a block, no more than $500 if it mags ok.

If it is a R.A. II block and someone needs it for a restoration, I would think that double that price would be about right.

All of the info that I find on the '68 XT block tells me that it is a 340hp (RA II) engine from a Firebird.
