Start out with a basic 125 shot and learn what your engine wants.

I.E. Timing, fuel pressure and learn. Read plugs after a pass to get a grip on info.

I have spark plug and nitrous info on my website. Then step up a little at a time.

I have run 225 with stock rods and trw pistons and 350 hp with h-beam rods and domed trw pistons in a 400, so your combo will handle 300hp if it's tuned right.

Dude, About what hp level does o ringing the block become necessary?

If you use the O-ring Felpro gaskets with Copper coat and torque them twice before you fire it and then again after break-in . Then again after your first weekend of running on motor. You should be good for 250hp safely and your compression ratio your running.

Not familiar with what the Cometic gaskets will handle.

Nitrous is an art, it's all in the tune. Do you have a dedicated fuel delivery system for the juice? Start low and work your way up. Having power is one thing, being able to use it is another subject.

Thanks for the responses, now here is a follow up question can you tune nitrous on a dyno? I talked to a local shop and they started giving me the "I heard" stories.

Yes, you can tune Nitrous on a Chassis Dyno. They do it all the time at:

in Tampa Fl.

I have tuned nitrous cars on my dyno. Tuning Nitrous on a chassis dyno works quite well. Using the Air Fuel monitor, you can work your way up to a great tune. Do partial pulls, check, adjust all the way to full pulls. Bring lots of Nitrous.

BVR, it's a Dynojet Dyno and a full shop. Pontiac Dude's TA has been on it an hour after making a few strip tests and the numbers are very accurate.

They have tested many Nitrous, Supercharged and Turbo'ed cars, over 1200 hp...

Maybe those stock rods aren't so bad after all LOL...

<--thinking about running a small shot of spray on stock rods

Just remember to install a good set of aftermarket 190,000 bolts or better.
Only two basic things happen to rods. the bolts stretch from rpm and load........ or they break just above the big end from load.
