I am hopeing someone can help. On my voltage regulator there is only 2 wires comming off the regulator. One goes to the alternator the other I think goes to the guage. Is there supposed to be one more? My voltage is very spuratic and I was going to get a new regulator but it looks like I am missing a wire. Does everyone else have only two wires? Any help would be great. thanks, Troy

My '67 schematic for the big car shows only two wires.
Check your ground connection. The regulator case MUST be grounded well. That means the mounting screw must be making good contact to the regulator body and the firewall, and the firewall-to-engine ground straps must be in place.
If that's ok, the regulator may well be the problem.

my 67 Bonnie is the same way (only 2 wires),
There is only one wire to the square plug on the alternator also. The electric system is working too. I'd suspect the ground also!
