Looking for any feed back about this block. Any one out there running this block? What is your application? HP/Tq levels? How many hours on unit?

Block has been run, around 27 pulls I believe on the dyno.

44 psi boost and around 2900 hp so it should be good for the "AVERAGE PONTIAC ENTHUSIAST" LOL!

over 2100 lb/ft at 7400 rpm through the block.

Not bad! Not Bad!

If you want to know the status for the block you might want to call Butler Performance and ask them.

Actually he was thinking it was out and wondered what actual owners thought of it. Said that right in his post.

It has not been released yet, David/Everflo. Give Butler a ringy-dingy on the tele' to get more info.

I wonder if Butlers Aluminum block will be a AllPontiac casting or a Butler casting? Or maybe their lawyers havent worked that out yet LOL AFAIK AllPontiac has exclusive production rights but who knows. Im really only guessing. Maybe that doesnt include a aluminum version.

Isnt AllPontiac forecasting aluminum block production next year?

I wonder if the cost will be more than the iron block, I dont know if aluminum costs more to produce but fitting sleeves will be some extra $$$

Whats the weight savings? 80 lbs?

I think we can put this thread to bed. Go to the other one that Bob started tonight.
