Like bohardee I have come across a stoutly built olds 455 for a real good price.would you guys consider this taboo? at least it's not a chevy.

Like Bud said but consider how much you will be devaluing the car. If it were free you would devalue the car by 25% of its normal value if not more.

I tell you...it's a tough call for me because this rat motor is impressive! I tried pulling the heads last night but that one header bolt is being a pain. If it is a cracked head then I'm putting the rat motor in..if not then I'll just replace the gasket. My plan with this car is to have some fun with it and then down then road restore it correctly. As a matter of fact, I just had it painted a metallic grey which is not correct but in my opinion..awesome. good luck, bo
