How many of you own a Model 2 tubing bender? What company builds them? I won one and only have a 1 3/4 die. Getting ready to install a cage in son-in-laws car and will need the 1 5/8th die. Anyone have one for sale or know who sells them at a reasonable price?

I'd guess you're talking about JDsquared http://www.jd2.com but they don't list a model 2 on their website. Is it possible you're thinking of their model 3?

Jon, You are so right, it is the Model 3. I sure hate it when people get old. After helping Son-in-law dig and lay water and elec. lines all day, I was lucky to get that close to the model. Anyway, I need to find a 1 5/8th die for it.

Then the website I linked above is where you want to go.

Their phone number is (352) 351-3828

They sell three sets of 1 5/8" dies, but make sure you sit down before you ask them what they cost. http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Jon, Yes I know the price of the dies, as much as the bender itself plus the shipping on the die. I bought mine in 2000 from a place in Fla. called Van Slant or close. I would like to find the company that builds the benders and find a dist. here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that might carry the dies. The link that you gave is just a dealer for them.

Have you tried Ebay? Also there is a place in FtWorth called William's Tool. He has LOTS of wierd hard to find tools like this. He sells new and used, I think it is off of 28th street; try them. If he doesn't have it I bet they can get it.
