Anybody out there have any experience doing the crazy thing I'm thinking of doing - supin' up a 1970 Catalina 4-Door?! Originally, I purchased the car as an engine/trans donor for my '51 Chieftain hotrod project. The '51 project is still underway but, after all the tinkering with the Catalina, I'm thinking of keeping it and modifying it. It has the 400 engine option and TH400 trans and it runs very strong! I have already done some basic mods to the engine including intake, carb, ignition. Anybody out there have some suggestion or pictures of a similar project?? I'm a little concerned with getting the rear of this boat to grab pavement. Love the BIG cars!

Big Ponchos rock with a strong healthy engine and traction.
Posi is a must on a big heavy car or all you do is peg leg burn.
Check out the big pontiac parts for sale for a nice geared rare posi complete drum to drum.

these cars ars also front heavy , so anything you can do to lighten the front and stiffen the suspension for weight transfer will help it hook.
