I have a 69 bonn conv and would like to put an am/fm radio in it. I have no clue what one of these look like, can some one send a pic of a radio, can a gto unit from the same year fit in it or are they different.

I installed my 66 GTO am-fm in my 68 GP by slightly enlarging the dash opening. Fitting factory radios in cars that they didn't come in is time consuming and frustrating http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. Factory am-fm radios are getting very expensive with the GTO versions fetching as much as $750! http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I installed a Custom Autosound USA-5 am-fm stereo cd in the GTO which costs approximately $450 and is made to fit in the dash without alterations.

www.originalcaradios.com (http://www.originalcaradios.com) they have good pictures and descriptions. prices are fair too as they are priced about the same as untested radios on ebay. the full size cars have chrome pushbuttons while the rest have black ones.
