I know a guy that uses TWO of them. http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well...he has two of them mounted in his car anyway.

Perhaps he can rig them to light up to warn him when it's time to add some chlorine to his hot tub? http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I use the Summit adjustable ones,I think they were only about $30 or so.

I think the ones with the chips are better, if you mount the one in the photo, how would you see the back of it to adjust it?

I've always used the Auto-Meter light that uses the chips in the front. They work well. Never tried the adjustable one, but I agree with Ray on where they put the knob.

I tried two of those and sent them both back. They either didn't come on at all, came on and wouldn't go off, or came on at odd times. I had to stage and race at night once with the damn thing glowing in my face.

You get what you pay for apparently.

I agree with Mike, A friend of mine bought 1and it did not work so he sent it back and got another, then sent it back to get his money back.

I don't know about the shift lite on ebay, but what I use is a MSD RPM activated switch connected to a 14volt LED bulb I got at NAPA.I mounted the bulb neatly in the dash right where I could see it easily.Of course, you would already have to have a MSD box on your car.

What Mike and Ken said. I've had two and both never worked right. Either on all the time or not at all.

Proform name itself throws up a red flag.

I have a proform,I guess like this one but I don't remember it going to 12k ..

Anyway Mine seems to work fine, but getting the exact setting is kinda hard the marks are close togeather. I mounted mine with velcro on the steering colume so I can just take it loose set and stick back on. It works great and holds well.
