Tom, I am looking for your assistance. I was told if I had a question regarding Holley carbs that you would be a good first source.

My questions is: can I convert my vacuum secondary Holley 850DP to operate as a mechanical secondary?

I run a 4sp and have been told that I can eliminate possible launch bogging by using a mechanical secondary carb. I launch at 4000 RPM.

Can this be done?

Who can do this for me (yourself)?

Yes it can be done but involves a lot of extra
work that could be easily fixed with the right
850 carb.

You say you have a 850 cfm vacuum carb?

If so I may be able to build you a new carb for slightly more than what the 850 vacuum carb is worth and sell the 850 vacuum carb to a gentleman I know who is looking for a reworked one.
