I found a 63 GP in the junkyard. It has the original 4 speed complete still in it. For 850.00 I can get the trans, bellhousing, flywheel, shifter, pedals, console, bucket seats and tilt steering column..the car is really rusted. It also has a factory tach. Is 850 a good deal or too much? Thanks

Not a bad price get the tach and the posi rear end if so thrown in at that price.

That sounds loke a pretty good deal. I might be interested in the tilt column, let me know how much you have to get for it if you get the car. Also let me know if it has power vent windows.

I was thinking about converting my 63 Cat. to a 4-speed and bucket seats, but I think it would be wiser to invest in getting the body in better shape rather than adding options. They won't throw in any extras. I don't know wether it has a posi or not. I don't remember seeing power vent windows. If anyone is interested in it, e-mail me for their phone #.It's a sad car, but if someone had a 63 GP shell, it would be a great one to use as parts.

Keep watching eBay. I picked up a complete 4-spd Catalina for $800. I pulled $1500 worth of stuff off it and sold what was left for $400. http://forums.performanceyears.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
