383 stroker

Hey guys, I've been on the search for a 400 or 455 block to build, but I can't seem to find one in my area. Suddenly, I remembered that my friend has a 383 stroker that he is selling. It is blueprinted, low compression, the works. About 400+ hp and 400+ torque I was wondering if it would be compatible with my car: 1969 firebird. What would I have to do to make it work in my car.
New motor mounts?
Ignition wiring?
transmission or trans. adapter?
I have never done a motor swap and would like to know what I need to change or do to make it work. I would really appreciate ur guys' help with this...it seems like a good idea. Lots of work..but still a good idea.

Marvin, this may not be what you want to hear, but for less than two grand, you may want to look into an Edelbrock performance package for your Pontiac 350 (heads, cam, carb and intake). This way there is no fitting mods, it's still pure Pontiac and you should be able to slap that Chevy motor silly with your new combo. Anthony
