I have found a 71 Lemans that has bucket seats with the headrests. My 67 Lemans has buckets also but no headrests. Is it possible to swap the seat backs ( I would also swap my covers and use my metal back covers) so that I cah have headrest. All my seat covers are in great shape and as usal always looking to go low buck. Guy wants 25.0 a seat. I would have to dye the headrest to my color also-gold. What do you think?

The '66-67 A-body bucketseat headrests are different than 69 A-body & 70-72 A-body bucketseat headrests. Mounting hardware is total different as well. Such a swap could be attempted, but it would take a lot of work.

Those '71 LeMans Sport comfortweave seats, were they blue by chance?

I think the 1968 Bucket seats are the same design as the 1967.You could put your '67 covers on a '68 seat!I've seen '66 covers on '67 seat already. The '66 seats just didn't have the saftey release catch on them. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

You are right Pinion, I saw a 67 with the head rest and they are larger than these on the 71. Still I was hoping to have come up with the best deal since ripped bread! It seemes so simple, just swap'em oh welllll. The color was a light green, this car has lots of stuff on it, even found the fender skirts on the back seat! While I was there a friend I know got the rear glass out that I told him about this morning, something about saving him 400 bucks. Thanks for the info. J R.

Will the headrests from a 67 Grand Prix w/buckets work on a 67 GTO w/buckets?

Big car headrests match their A-body counterparts for each respective year.
