Tables showing axle ratio codes for GTOs and Firebirds are plentiful, but the big Indians are usually ignored. The following link accesses a table which includes axle codes for full-size Pontiacs from 1965 to 1975.

I discovered my '67 428 Grand Prix has 2.73 rear gears, which makes the previous owner's claim of hitting 125 MPH quite plausible.
