Paint for Plastic Grill

Hello,

I'm wanting to know if there is "special" paint I have to buy to paint my plastic grills? And if there is any special preperation I should do to the plastic other than cleaning it up. Also, does anyone know where I can buy the correct silver paint for my '66 GTO/Lemans? Thanks in advance.

Just clean them up with soap and water . Basically any type of spray paint that comes in a spray can will work well . ie Krylon makes a good product .

Thanks for your input. I found some websites that suggested the samething ...and I bought some Krylon semi-flat black, #1613 & Rustoleum Satin black #7777. From all the pictures I've seen of '66 pontiacs, the black protion of the grills were never too shiny...so one of these will probably work.

I used a bright silver for my Rally II wheels, so it looks like I will use the same silver paint on the grills. thanks again. Dan

The Rally II paint will be too shiny. The paint I have used in the past with excellent results is another Krylon product called Dull Aluminum. You already purchased the proper black -- Krylon's Semi-Flat.
