Hi Guys, I had an arrangement quite some time back with Bob in relation to a used gas tank for my '70 LeMans. Things did not work out with the deal, not on my part I might add, and I wanted to get my money back. I cannot tell you how fast Bob dealt with my refund and I received the full money paid almost immediately. I was nervous at first because I had also done a search for Bob on this site, and didn't come up with very many favourable results. I feel the negative posts were made a long time ago, and Bob's issues have been dealt with. I am most happy with my dealings with Mr. Strohrigl, even if the deal wasn't completed. Bob, I haven't needed any hard to get parts for the Pontiac that I could not get up here in The Great White North. But if the need ever arises, I will surely give you a buzz. Thanks for the re-inforcement of faith. Bruce

I have been dealing with Bob. Bob goes out of his way to make sure I get what I need!!! Talk with him on the phone,email, etc. He comunicates very well!! Guy does alot for the hobbie. So I wouldn't let a few sour deals ruin a guy. It would be a perfect world if everthing went without a hiccup or two? The more you deal the more your going to have problems once and awhile. Guys want a new part of an old car..it ain't gona happen. Good shape...sure...perfect no.

Oh, and thanks for "saving" cars from the crusher. Sorry, but stripping cars for parts does not, in any way, constitute "saving" them. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Not trying to chime in on an old topic here but I bought a complete Hideaway setup from you three years ago that you listed on this site as bolt-on. I paid you swiftly and waited weeks for the parts. It held up the project and I missed the better part of the summer waiting to put my car together. When I received them . . . most of the parts were not usable. The car they came off of was hit hard on the right side . . .the right door taking a direct shot, the vacuum canister was full of pin holes and covered in mud. I bought a new one. There were no covers. The actuators had to be replaced. I bought new ones.

Some things you expect to replace right away but this was sold to me as "bolt on"

I tried to contact you at the time with no return effort made on your part. I was a new return to the hobby at the time so did not know what to expect when buying used parts. I chalked it up to a learning experience. I have since discovered from more knowledgeable people that most guys would have classified the stuff I recieved was junk.

In the end the car turned out just fine. It cost me extra money and a ton of time. I had fours hours alone in straightening out the right cover just to get it to open and close, and another four it getting it perfect.

I realize it was a while ago . . . perhaps things have changed.

Just don't put somoene else through the same hassle.

I COULD YELL, but I won't, because I know how to control my keyboard. It's funny, you only remember what you want to. I had some cracked Ram air manifolds, I think dated in 68, that had been welded, but no guarantee. You really wanted them, probably for the 68 you are selling on Ebay now, as it was about the time you picked it up. I wouldn't stop the auction, you insisted, so I stated a really stupid price, $200 or something like that. You replied I was out of my F'ing mind, plus a few other choice words. I replied, to go ahead and bid, maybe you would get them at a reasonable price. They sold cheap, and you never bid. Your problem , not mine.
You also asked why your satisfied customers don't respond. I can think of a couple of reasons.
1. there aren't any.
2. If there are any, they can't keep up with your new online name. You seem to change names more than I change underwear.
3. When they see your posts, they hit DELETE BECAUSE OF THE CAPS.

If you are truly a God-fearing, loving, Christian man, you would care about what others feel and rationalize in your head that ALL CAPS is the equivalent of anger in Web protocol. Instead, you say, "I ALWAYS USE CAPS, TOO BAD!"
So, people are assuming you are angry in every post. Your refusal to simply shut-off the CAPS KEY proves you choose to be "in-your-face" -- - even if you are wrong about something.

In other words, you show that you have no intention of dealing with others in a calm, professional way. You seem to believe the customer is NOT always right.
