I'll be finishing my 474 soon, with 72cc E- heads. What plugs have people used to get the best results??? Thx, Bill.

I have had best results with Autolites, #3924. I tried AC's and they didn't hold up very well and just from my past experience with Champion I didn't want to waste my time on them. NGK, Bosch, ND and Accel might be good too but I will stay with what has worked over the years.

The Autolites #3924 do seem to work the best. I believe there are 3 different Autolite plugs that cross to the same RC12YC Champion, so where Autolite has three heat ranges, Champion has a one-plug-fits-all.

NGK: R5671A-whatever heat range you need. They go from -7 to -10. 10's being the coldest. -8's seem to work the best in my race engines unless I'm spraying then I go to the 10's. Later.

Still laughing from Scott's post - I like autolites - I even have them in my lawnmower. Just think - they helped make crappy Ford engines run! If champions are disliked by so many (me being one of them) - who's buying them - Mopar guys who change them every week? I ran the same autolites all last year - looked at them a few times - but never changed them. Who ever buys my stolen motor will have them still.

I run AC Delco FR3LS or FR2LS, they seem to work great on the street, with a 455.

Should i go with Autolight # 3923 gapped at .045 since I'm running a 200 shot of Nitrous instead of the Autolight # 3924's??? I'm running an HEI distributor and MSD Digital 6 ignition box also.
