Good, I hope alot of people get mad about this! You all now of the great savings you can get when you have Hot Rod magazine delivered to your house, they say its something like 70% off. What they dont tell you is what I just noticed, Your not only getting 70% off, your also only getting 70% (or less ) of the mag.
Here's what happened, My buddys car was supposed to be featured that month, when my sub came his car wasn't there so I called him he said he just got done looking at it. Come to find out he bought his off the stand. I figured it was just a printing mistake so I went out and bought a new one. No sh**, it was like a different mag w/ more features and more articles!
How long have we been getting ripped off for!?
How long will we continue to get ripped for!?
Listen up Hot Rod...... U SUCK /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif !!

I gave up on NOB ROD in the 80's. I got really sick of seeing 454 Chevettes and Big Block Pintos.
They cater to the Camaro/Mustang crowd. Most readers of that "fish wrap" have probably never heard of Super Duty or RAIV. Spend your money on HPP-you'll get better advice and results!

So what you're saying is that they are sending out subscribers a shortened version of the same issue that you can buy at the newsstand? Is that possible? It would seem to me that you could file a class action law suit against them for ripping off their subscribers. Are you sure that those pages weren't just ripped out of your issue? Did you check the page numbers to make sure? I think that would take some balls to try and get away with that...

Class action suits are good. The company pays big bucks, the lawyers get big bucks, and the plaintiffs get about $2.50 each.

But who knows...there might be some federal law regarding this kind of ripoff. Then the company would pay a big fine....and the plaintiffs get ...ummmmm...nothing.

Hey...who does get all that money that companies pay when the government levies fines?

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing (G.B.Shaw). At least that's my excuse.

What jcs64 is saying is true.My buddy's '66 2+2 was in the newstand issue a while back but not in the subsciption copies.I felt ripped off and won't be re-newing.Wonder if ChevyCraft does the same?

"Why that's impossible...and yet it happened!"

Well, in addition to the $2.50, the judge would make them change their ways. So, the subscribers would get something out of it. The magazine they are supposed to be getting!!

I picked one up at the newstand about two months ago and seen a couple articles I didn't see in my brothers copy. His comes in the mail too. Next time I am at his house, I will let him know. I thought I had just overlooked those articles in his copy.

I checked the most recent copy of Dad's subscription of Hot Rod and compared it with a copy on the newstand. I didn't get a chance to see if each page was exactly the same, but I do know that both copies had 98 pages. I did check out my last issue of Car Craft and compared it with one on the newsstand page for page, and they were exactly the same. Not to say that Hot Rod hasn't pulled a fast one at least once, but just throwing out a little info.

I too checked several copies of Carcraft, and they were the same. Even if chevyROD is ripping us off, who cares, that rag sucks.Carcraft seems to try to add some BOP, amc, etc, from month to month. I really like the project on the 65 Lemans they're
doing. EFI 455, that ROCKS!!! P.s. I did check the Subscription version of NOTROD with the newstand version, and it was the same. They still suck.

Don't blame me cause your chevy broke down, you should have bought a PONTIAC!!
