The hood is the same other than the 67 having the bolt holes in it for the pontiac arrow. The 65 does not have the arrow on the hood.

I have a 67 hood not being used with NO bolt holes for the emblem. I wonder if its really a 65 hood.

Is there also a difference in how the hinges attach? Studs for 65-66 and nuts on 67?

I don't recall if my 65 GTO had studs on it. I don't believe it did and it was all original.

I do know the 66 hood took clip/studs while the 67 had a threaded hole. I have a 66 style hood on my 67. My understanding is that early replacements for the 67 year were left over stock from the 66 year. So it seems if your hood uses clip/studs, and dosen't have the holes for the logo, it's a 65, if it uses clip/studs, and has holes for the logo, it's a 66 or a 65 thats been drilled. If it has threaded holes, its a 67.
