After looking at my build sheet for my car I see that it originally had a lamp for the ignition & starter switch, Would anyone care to elaborate as to what this is?? I am assumming some sort of light in the ignition..? Would this light up when started or after etc etc?

1116679 was the "lighted" ignition switch. The shell of the switch was designed to have a socket and bulb plug into it. (Similar to an ash tray lamp) When it was dark, it gave just enough light for one to see the key slot. 1116676 was the ign switch w/o the light option.
