I have a 66 GTO with stock distributor and stock coil. Can any one tell me if I need a ballast resistor? I don't remember if they came from the factory with one or not. Any info or advise would be great. Thanks

Standard GM had a resistive wire in the engine harness. The plus side of the coil has two wires going to it; one of them (the flimsier one) is the resistive wire.
