I've found a 72 400 2bbl Catalina with tilt and electric windows 15" ralley IIs rough body. I want it for parts for my 72 lemans sport conv. Iknow the engine and 400th with a short tail will go in this car,but what about the electric window set up, tilt wheel door knobs, front end a arms disc breaks, etc.Any help about interchangeable parts would help. Does any one out there need parts off this car? Thanks Bob

Bob,the Cat has a long shaft 400.No brake(except calipers I think) or suspension parts are the same for your car.The window motors will work, but not the regulators.
Little knobs and things like that may be the same.

Bob:

The Cat uses a long tail trans with a 7"( I think) extension housing. Your car takes one with a 4" extension housing. Thus, the "long" vs. "short" tail problem. It won't fit unless you shorten your existing driveshaft.

Check the bolt pattern on the rallys, there were two different patterns used depending on the suspension. There is an article in the aug 99 issue of pop. hot rodding covering the installation of b-body brakes onto an a-body if you're interested. I think the guages are the same for both cars if you're lucky enough to have found a cat with full inst. mike

Hey, don't forget, big cars have a 5 on
5" bolt circle, not the five on 4.75" of the
smaller rides. Not sure on other aspects of
interchangeability, but the wheels only fit the big cars.
