I recently heard someone here say that the steering column on a HO car is different. How? What is different about it? What about a tilt column. If I switch to a tilt is that too different..?

'67 HO & RA equipped GTO's had (as stock) a straight column with a splined shaft & used the cast "tilt" flange that bolted on. Tilt was optional. The change in column & & the rerouting of the front brake lines was Pontiac engineers choice when the RA manifolds were used. With the mass carlot building of '67 GTO's over last 15 years, just a possible clue in spotting a misrepresented "HO" car.
