I bought one a while ago that you type your VIN on (even had GM restoration parts logo on back) I tried five different typewriters and none would print on the sticker (too glossy) Maybee they have fixed the problem but for the price they get on ebay I would ask first.

I did this to one I bought from a Jim Osborns Productions. It took several tries.
I first copied it onto a black sheet of paper, keep the label in the same spot.
I used TechnicLite font at 10 size. You have to adjust your spacing to make it look right. Made several passes, It did not come out with the same clarity on every letter, but to represent an older one, it wouldnβt look that way anyway.
Mine had the flowing on it.

Obviously the web site doesnβt recognize that font!
Anyway, production date in the upper right hand corner, the next line was GVWR 4473 GAWR FRT 2258 Rear 2215
Then the vin and "Passenger Car"

Info on the stickers depends on the year. Earlier years didn't have the weights or "PASSENGER CAR".
The stickers appear to be made correctly, but the sticker company give no instructions on how to print on them. GM probably used old IBM mainframe printers that printed thru a ribbon.
With modern technology, one should be able print using a laser printer, but I have yet to find the correct font. Several are close, but none are an exact match.
