I have a 60 Catalina that I am starting a restore on. I want to send the engine and tranny out for a rebuild. I have new cam/lifters, oil pump, main bearings, gaskets, piston rings, and some other replacement parts for the rebuild. I am not looking for a high performance engine, just a nice solid rebuild fora cruiser. I can deliver and pick up the engine. Just about any garage will rebuild an engine but I am looking more for of a Pontiac guy that knows 389's.

Thanks, Greg

I believe that Duncan Michaels is in Detroit. He builds all of Jim Wangers' engines.

For my 67 I was going to go with Wayne Schicantek too, but I wanted more of a high performance engine. Wayne knows his stuff, give him a call and see for yourself. He has built many pontiac engines in the midwest (so I hear. The price was reasonable...

Since this is a pretty common question, I could throw toegether a nationwide list of Pontiac engine builders on my site, if anyone is interested.
