Why do the aftermarket bellhousings from both Lakewood and McCleoud still have clearence problems on some GTO's even after the problem has been published in HPP?

Can't these guys read? The CAD machine broken? Is it that hard to warn people of the problem while the engine is still out of the car instead of letting you kow after the drivetrain is in place.

Come on guy's, this ain't your first rodeo.... /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

The real deal is! /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
They decided to go to a Ones bellhousing fits all!
I have seen the early ones that were more application specific.
The new ones that they have really suck! I have seen Goatheads problem. The blasted bellhousing has a a bolt and a metal area directly in the path for the clutch linkage! /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

WHAT A BUNCH OF BONEHEADS! /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

Here we go again. Converting to a Dual Friction clutch, and Lakewood does not make a pivot ball long enough to get the geometry right. Had to go to McLeod to get the proper piece for a lakewood bellhousing to work correctly... /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif Another two day's shot..

Is this industry allways this disorginized? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
