Zero Rust

After reading all the posts here about various rust preventive coatings - decided to try ZeroRust on my frame & crossmember while engine is out. I have absolutely zero experience with paint & body work so was clearly in uncharted territory for me. I followed the package directions for prep and used their 'Prep Step' product and am very happy with the result. Used a brush to apply and wound up with a very smooth, flat finish. Will dust it with their Crystal Coat to give some UV protection. Plan to use the rattle can to do my A arms when I get them back from being hot tanked.
You guys that are doing serious frame resto might want to give the stuff a shot.

Goatseeker,where did you get it and how much did it cost?I have used Paint Over Rust on my '66 floorboards(inside)and they work great.How do they compare?The only problem was the don't come in a spray and once you open a can you have to use it all because the rest will harden in the can in a few days.

I ordered it direct from Zero Rust. They have a website www.zerorust.com (http://www.zerorust.com) that has all the products with prices and shipping listed. Don't remember offhand how much each thing was as I ordered several different containers. The site has a lot of photos and a FAQ section. All the instruction for prep & application are listed on the site too.
I don't have experience using other products so I'm probably not the best person to compare but there is an extensive discussion in the "Body Shop" section.
I did small test panels with both a brush and the rattle can and no question spraying will give you a more uniform finish. I'm working in a 2 car garage and the body is on the car so I was worried about overspray, therefore I brush painted the frame. I was happy with the way it turned out. I will spray my A arms when they come back from being cleaned & I expect a smoother finish on them.

applies very well.

I discovered that Rubber Cement or 3M spray adhesive removes this stuff as if it never bonded to the metal.

Otherwise I like ZeroRust so far.
