Thanks for the site! Does no one else jack up their ventura's? I don't like having 11'' shackles on mine but i like it alot better than the original which looks like side skirts. Just my opinion.

have you thought about new leaf springs that has a steeper arch to help raise it? and stiffer shocks or air shocks?

I have relatively new springs with a steeper arch and stiffer shocks but i still need the shackles to clear the 295's. I cut 4'' of the shackles with the newer springs. I now live close to a spring shop so i may try and get some custom units made up which will help with the lift. I have a friend running air shocks in his nova and i do not like them at all. This spring i think i will be revamping my suspension (again!). I am just putting sub-frame connectors and traction bars in so i will see how these leafs hold up to some punishment.

After you get your frame connectors in have you thought of a mini tub kit and moving the springs in board? I think ponjohn is in the process of doing this.

I have thought of tubbing and even narrowing to fit some major tire widths but am undecided if i really want to do that yet. I just love the stance and wide tires the way they are right now. They look so good on ventura's. Although every nova and chevy truck are running them too. The ventura's just look mean with the grill and taillights, i love it! So do most of the people around here, i dont think they have ever seen a ventura before. Only the older guys have ever heard of one it seems. If i start going to the track than i will go ahead with the surgery in the rear. I would love to fit some wide m/t's underneath, they just scream out ''look at me''!

I already found it but thanks. How was it to relocate springs and offset shackles? I could handle the wheelwell widening i think but the relocation stuff has me abit leary. I would love to run something wider than 295's. I was thinking of 17'' rims and a 315 maybe. Lower the car allround. Might be a nice look, i don't know if i have seen one slammed to the ground with fats underneath. I would really like to make mine handle great but its not going to happen with the shackles i have right now. Thanks for all the help!

Brian'74- did you ever get a rad from summit?

BILTIT

Pics would be most appreciated! Let us know how the rad situation turns out as many (i am sure) including myself would like to acquire one. Know any good tubular a-arms for x-bodies? I have found some for $440US but would like cheaper.

Im not sure what color it is actually. I have the receipt from when the original owner got it painted but it doesnt say what color it is.

The color you posted looks very similar.

Is that your car in your sig? It looks just like mine!

Some sound to go with the pics!

http://media.putfile.com/car-at-idle-out-revved

This is the sound of my car recorded with a laptop. It isn't the best recording by far but it gets me through the winter until i can fire it up again.
About 2/3rds the way through it gets loud as i picked up the laptop and walked towards the car.
Hope you like it!

Rob B- What size of tires and rims are you running in the front?

Rob B- What size of tires and rims are you running in the front?

they are 15x3.5 (??) Weld Pro Stars with the Mickey Thompson Sportsmans tires. I think they are 26 or 27" tall. Not sure but can check tonight. It's not a car I'd take hard into a corner but for "normal" driving there fine. ;)

Thanks, 28x9 in the back?

I am trying to decide if i should go smaller than 26'' in the front.

I am trying to decide if i should go smaller than 26'' in the front.

28's were to short in the sidewall and wad up to much on launch. That depends on power level/ET.
29.5x9's in the back. I wouldn't go any smaller than 26, especially if your car sits high in the front.

Well my car sits lower now that i put in the adjustable QA1 coilovers (350# springs) so my current 235/60-15's rub alittle. Looking to go to a 26x4, possibly a tad shorter.
