Hi...Just thought I'd let you guys know to avoid the Firebird Forum site, www.firstgenfirebird.org This site is full of "clique" members and in order to join and register, you must be a friend of one of these "cliques"!....They get a kick out of displaying your private messages and banning you for not fitting in!....It's really disgusting reading the 10 page thread they started on a calender!....These so called "cliques" even followed me to Johnny Mac's web site, which is very cool! www.my67.net Read the "Websites" thread....One of these creeps posted a pic of his private parts!....Truly disgusting to say the least!

I'm not sure about the rest of your statement, but the part I quoted above is a lie without a doubt. I live in N.C. and none of them knew me from Adam. I joined, asked a lot of questions and everyone was super nice to me. One of the members from Washington even met me when I flew to Seattle to look at a car. Everyone there has been a big help to me, and I have been very welcomed.
I'm not sure that some things that should not happen have, but I know that your statement above is totally false. You are obviously not objective, and I am not in a "clique". I am more of an outsider to the group.

The 1st Gen site is a group of some the most helpful people you can find. There are people there with expertise in almost every aspect of 1st Gen Firebirds and they are eager to help.

Not sure what you are refering to, I am a member of that site and have found nothing but helpful, friendly members there. I don't frequent that site as often as some others but have never found it's members to be anything but friendly. In my opinion all sites on the net have their regulars who post often or who are senior long time members. I understand how a newbie to a site might feel as if the members are clique, I once felt that way myself. But you learn to let sh*t go. And if you feel awkward or not part of the community, then move on to other places. I will agree there are some members on some sites that go out of their way to flame certain members on a daily basis, to that I'd say just go there to get the info you need and move on. Life's to short to allow ignorant people who you'll most likely never even meet to get your dander up. To me I treat these people like they don't even exist instead of replying to their BS I simply ignore them and post around them.
68coupe, you have no idea how many members from there are also members here. I really don't find it necessary to put another site down in this way as it's really no better than what your initial complaint is about.
*MODERATORs I request you lock this thread. We really don't need to be bad mouthing other sites here.

can I join?
Sometimes, People do get upset and if angered enough they will go out and let the community know.
Is this going on at any other Pontiac site?
Moved to here for more information before locking.

I question someone who's first post here is to flame another site and it's members.
That being said I tryed to join in the past more then once and never received a reply. No great loss to me I just found other places for info.

I'm not sure about there being a clique over there. I've been a member there for years and still go there w/o having a 1st gen anymore. Most people on there are really nice people. I've met a couple people from that site also.
I actually miss not being part of their mailing list anymore. I might have to sign back up for it again.
