"Who am I? I'm a Pontiac guy just like you. A Pontiac guy who is tired of other Pontiac vendors who treat fellow enthusiasts poorly, so I decided I am going to try and make a change to that. You need a part? I set all my auctions with no reserve and usually a 5.00 or 10.00 starting bid. Some of the bigger items will start at 50, but I will let everyone know I am doing so. I research the parts if I'm not familiar with them, and try to sell all my stuff to the best of my knowledge. I am active in the GTOAA and The Tri-Valley GTO Association of Southern California. I have many sources for hard to find Pontiac parts of all sizes and years? You need something? Let me find it for you and remove the stress of restoring or hot-rodding a Pontiac!!! ALSO, all auctions are open to trades. All you have to do is contact me! I love Pontiacs...I'm not in it for the money, I'm in it to get some satisfaction that I helped a guy get his GTO or Pontiac a little closer to getting it back on the road!!"

Wow, what an interesting read. I stopped paying any attention to the young man when he asked for advice on how best to finish his school project in time, was given a lot of great advice from maybe a dozen different board members, then proceeded to shun the advice and stick to his father's original plan, which was (and still is) destined for failure due to time constraints.
When you make a verbal contract with someone over "brokering" a car for them, and then back out on it because you now have another party that is interested, you've just commited an unethical business act. The apple must not have fallen far from the tree, which explains everything of his actions on the board.

I've had problems with him too. Should we start a thread on this in the Business and Exchange forum?

I was honestly surprised at how many responded to that school project thread with genuine, caring advise. I found it kind of amusing because I really thought most people here had him figured out long ago.
And as far as his often claimed experience and knowledge with GTOs, it's kinda like Barney Fife offering advise on gun handling and ballistics.

A lot of us have tried to help him even though we saw him time after time after time ignoring all the sound advise that people would give him on the myriad of topics that he would inquire about.
Well this is the last straw. Bryan, if you are reading this, and I know that you are, THE JIG IS UP!! Just go away and save yourself the embarrassment of trying to explain yourself out of this one by saying that you are just an 18 year old kid and that you did not know any better. Your Mormon upbringing surely has taught you better than this. Maybe you should be spending more time in church and less time here anyway.
I can't speak for the other members, but as for me, you can expect to never receive another response to any of your queries from now to eternity.
I will however, stop short of placing you on my ignore list because I know you will not be man enough to just admit that your true nature has been discovered and go away. You will undoubtedly attempt to justify your actions in some way and that should make for some great comedy.

Caught this guy with conflicting stories on the sale of headers on this site a while back and he replied with a stupid response that made no sense. Decided he was never getting a dime of mine ever. At least we know where he is getting all the cash to finance this fantasy 67 of his.

I think a lot of us were giving him a "last chance" to get back to basics and talk about how to work on your car. But even in the 2 or 3 days in which that discussion ran it's course, it became obvious he just likes to hear himself talk about all the cash he has to spend on his little "High School" project....
I've heard plenty enough for me..

Sorry you fell so far so quick Bryan, but that is what happens when you ignore sound logic, and good advice, and convince yourself that your actions are justified, regardless of the damage or consequences they cause yourself and others, good luck with the "world" you created for yourself, maybe you'll learn something from all this.
But I seriously doubt that you have learned anything from this...
Trust me brother. I won't fall for this crap again. It was a cross between a few things that made me think I should try to deal with him. I am spanking my own ass for this one.

hello. im an amateur bodybuilder and from the look of this persons picture he has a major vitamin deficiency combined with the fact that he is an ectomorph with poor diet. you should take better care of yourself,,,, and only 18.
stop the sugar intake. just some advice.
Wow...I thought the same thing when I saw the black under his eyes -- he's got a serious vitamin problem. He should be eating more veggies and had better get a good supplement or he'll be in a bad way.
My neighbor had those same eyes and died of cancer at 43 -- no anti-oxidants. Bad news.

Wow, this is really blowing my mind. I thought we were dealing with a very sincere, if somewhat naive, young Christian boy who always abided by his Christian beliefs to the extent of not drinking, smoking, keeping his chasity until his marriage night, etc. etc. and would never think of scamming someone, afterall that's why he set up his own business.
But after this thread his true nature is revealed as a conniving scamster who is a chronic liar and will do anything to make a buck off any transaction that he can get done, regardless of the consequences for either the buyer or seller.
To anyone who may get involved with him, I say: Caveat Emptor!
To Bryan: I think you need more actual (real world) spiritual guidance than you've alledgedly been given. Maybe a business ethics class would be more important to you at this stage than all the empty santimonious piety you like to throw out there. A person's character is defined by their real actions, not how much religious dogma they can spout. Good Luck boy, you're gonna need it.

My $.10 Psychology manual has been telling me for some time that this kid is screaming for attention. Every time he posts it's a Major Announcement. I'm younger than you, I'm holier than you, My car's better than yours, and finally, I'm going to sell parts non-profit for the good of the hobby. Bryan - a lot of people on this board have been doing that for years without a medal!! I really don't want to bash the guy but I think he should make good on any bad deals, then either grow up, or go away. (maybe both) BTW, my only involvement with him was when I answered a question he posed some time ago. His response struck me as arrogant and unnappreciative, but I let it go. That's all. Mark O.

All BS aside does somone here own that car and is it still for sale?
Take the time to read the entire thread.
Stated more than several times, Bryan is not giving name, number, and location because if he did, he wouldn't make any money off the deal. He is trying to make a nice 600 finders fee and since he found out the old man would let it go for 6K, he cut me out and is probably trying to sell for 8K because 2K is better than his 600 finders fee. 2K would also help him finish his class project that he decided to go 180° on 6-8 weeks before it is due.
If he did give it out, this car would be sitting in my garage by the end of next week.
He won't even give out the vin number as for its location is traceable that way.
If he has screwed so many, do you think he is telling the truth about the car? he went from saying the car is completely solid to saying there are pinholes in the trunk. You see that big grey area on the hood? What do you think is under that? Unless you are in the Mojave and within arm's reach, I wouldn't deal with him.
But what am I? Just another that tried to give bryan the benifit of the doubt.

Mitch,
I think responses out of gratitude or manners were not Bryan's strong suit, so don't take it personally. I sent him two sets of trim rings and a dual-snorkel with a chrome top just to help him get started. I'm not sure if he ever got them though, never heard a word from him since.

i'm owed $130 and a dual snorkel that he got "from a local source"
been owed them for a few months now...so he got those
he sold me a 7027262 carb that ended up being a SR 7037262 carb - and swears there's no difference
then traded him for a 'gorgeous polished' manifold that ended up being a performer manifold that had the tops of the runners polished
i think he speaks without thinking, sometimes - and is more anxious to make deals than he should be - kinda gets excited about it
he's dealing with a lot of $ and thinks he knows much more about pontiacs than he actually does (he's learning - but he's egotistical and already assumes he knows more than everyone else)
That spells disaster - even though he means well and is a nice fellow
i've learned to ask for copious pictures - that helps
we're awful picky as buyers on here - to someone that doesn't know what they're doing...it gets ugly
Kurt, will you send me some free parts that I can turn around and sell? Thanks, I knew you would.

(When it came to trying to sell baron's (Ohio) GTO to a local buyer.) Also the whole "Daddy said no" thing is really annoying.. Rzereked consider yourself lucky the deal stopped where it did.

Adam....you failed to realize many aspects on my end.
1.) Yes, the car was for sale to you at 6k...but then my dad gave the guy a call while he was at work without my knowledge to get more information, and he said he had slept on my new proposition on a lower price and he said he wouldn't sell any lower than his original 8,500 asking price. Basically my father and myself got him riled up to realize that he had some demand for the car, and he was going to jack up the price. I tried everything I could do on my end to get it back down, but he said for 6k he's rather I walk away and forget I knew it existed.
2.) I would have been more than willing to give you the guy's number. But this guy is an elderly gentleman, and he's difficult to deal with at best. He has a lot of Pontiac cars and parts, but he just doesn't do business with anybody. He can also rip you off really bad. I bought a steering column from this guy yesterday for 50 bucks that he said was all there...and when I got it home 3 hours later I realized he'd sold me one that had been used for parts!!! That, and if you try to buy something from him and he doesn't like what you hear, he'll kick you out. Also, he's very unfriendly. I go over there and buy stuff from him because he has good pontiac stuff, but try to have a conversation with him and it goes nowhere. All he cares about it your pocketbook and once he's got that he wants you out of there. And if he doesn't like you, he won't sell anything to you at all.
So please answer me this: If I tried to sell you a car for 6k and the price without my control jacked back up to the original 8,500...how in the devil am I going to rip you off??? I've lost money...but I felt sheepish at best because I offered you a 67 gto at 6k when the price was once again back to 8,500. Basically, you and I were in a lose-lose situation. I didn't want a 6k check showing up at my door and not having a car for you in return!!!!
And to answer why I haven't posted?!?!? I've been at my grandparents for the entire weekend, and they do not have a computer. I've only been dumbstruck with this outlandish accusation to myself and my integrity. All I can say is I know I'm an honest person, and that I do honest dealings.
Those headers I tried to sell??? I wanted to get rid of them because my engine builder told me he wanted to go with ERdelbrock e heads. How was I going to use a set of d ports on pontiac e heads. Well, I wasn't. So I offered them up here so I could put them towards the round ports I was going to need. Then he says he'd rather use kauffman's d ports. So I said...ok they're not for sale. Done deal. That was why.
And really, let's stop this here. Mabye I'm immature, mabye I don't know a lot and mabye I have a lot to learn...but everyone has to start somewhere and I'm starting at the best place I know...

Let me get this straight...you let your engine builder dictate to you which heads to use on the engine you are paying to have him build? You told me via email that your dad was interested in the car now. If your dad called him without you knowing why send me an email telling me that your dad was interested in the car? You did not give me any communication that the price went up $2,500.
I have a frame two people are interested in that is for sale for $1200, should I jack the price because two people are interested instead of one?

He probably acts that way toward you because you are always throwing your age holier than thou statements and trying to get something for nothing. I know how not to insult someone. I have also never had a single person kick me off their property for trying to buy something they are selling. He probably smells a dead fish soon as you step on his property.

Welcome to the land of playing middle man. When you don't lock up a deal on your suppliers end and commit to someone on the customers end, you end up with a decision to scar your name or take a loss. You have shown time and time again, what you value more. I also want to point out that the reason why the deal broke is because your dad was now interested in the car, not that the price went up $2,500. Which one is it?
And to answer why I haven't posted?!?!? I've been at my grandparents for the entire weekend, and they do not have a computer. I've only been dumbstruck with this outlandish accusation to myself and my integrity. All I can say is I know I'm an honest person, and that I do honest dealings.

My bull$'hit detector is twitching. If this were the case, why would you word your email to the board member you were "brokering" the car for in the manner you did? Why wouldn't you tell him "my father stepped in without my knowledge and now the buyer wants full price"? Why would you instead say "my father is now interested in the car" leaving the impression that it is no longer available for sale AFTER you've already closed the deal? A good "broker" would advised the seller they already had a deal. A good "broker" would have told his father he already sold the car and made $600. Or perhaps the "broker" did all of these things and the father decided he wanted the car for himself anyway?
2.) I would have been more than willing to give you the guy's number. But this guy is an elderly gentleman, and he's difficult to deal with at best. So please answer me this: If I tried to sell you a car for 6k and the price without my control jacked back up to the original 8,500...how in the devil am I going to rip you off??? I've lost money...but I felt sheepish at best because I offered you a 67 gto at 6k when the price was once again back to 8,500. Basically, you and I were in a lose-lose situation. I didn't want a 6k check showing up at my door and not having a car for you in return!!!![/QUOTE}
Man the lifeboats, my detector in into the red. Go back and read my first response to the post. You never notified the buyer that the seller jacked the price up AFTER you already closed the deal, you told him your father was interested in the car now.
And to answer why I haven't posted?!?!? I've been at my grandparents for the entire weekend, and they do not have a computer. I've only been dumbstruck with this outlandish accusation to myself and my integrity. All I can say is I know I'm an honest person, and that I do honest dealings.
Thanks, Bryan...my BS detector just broke. You cannot possibly think you're "honest" when you've cut a deal between a buyer and seller, and backed out on it because your father now wants the car. If you were honest, you would have told the buyer on the first email notice to him AFTER the deal was struck about your fathers meddling and teh seller jacking up the price...but you didn't. You didn't because your father wanted the car and was willing to pay more than $6500 for it. Is Daddy going to give you your $600 finders fee? He should.
Bryan
And you're starting off on the wrong foot, that's for certain.

Two different cars that Bryan was brokering. Bryan tried brokering Baron's car as well. Baron simply was caught in the middle of it when the deal went sour. It is explained in this thread:

I have to ask. You didn't check out the steering column BEFORE you drove off with it?
Adam....you failed to realize many aspects on my end.
You didn't look at the column before you bought it? "He can also rip you off reall bad" but "I go over there and buy stuff from him because he has good Pontiac stuff" But "I bought a steering column from this guy yesterday for 50 bucks that he said was all there...and when I got it home 3 hours later I realized he'd sold me one that had been used for parts!!!". Please decide which one of these it is. If this guy really has the parts you claim it is obvious you are trying to work to broker them by not giving anyone the guys #. If anybody pi$$e$ him off he might take his wealth off parts and shut everyone off from them.
So please answer me this: If I tried to sell you a car for 6k and the price without my control jacked back up to the original 8,500...how in the devil am I going to rip you off??? You opened the can of worms with your Dad now open up and swallow. You get the good with the bad broker boy.

"I've been at my grandparents for the entire weekend, and they do not have a computer" except when you picked up the steering column.

I've had no business dealings with Bryan (though I did tell him that his eBay store "woe is me, my dad is sick, I'm only 18, please help" ad was not the way to build a business). After reading some of the interactions others have had, someone should put in a call to the California Dept. of Consumer Affairs (I think he's in CA) to find out if he even has a license to "borker" cars. That'll get him to either clean up (or close up).

You are obviously as intelligent as you are honest (your not so bright). First of all do you think that feeding us another line of crap and the old "I'm young..." line are going to get us to forget about your past transgressions?
You don't get by reading these posts that a lot of us thought you were a crooked blow hard to begin with and you just keep reinforcing this perception every time you post. The headers are a prime example
02-02-06 you post:
"I ended up finding a new-in-box set of ceramic coated hooker super comps off of ebay for 450.00 bucks. I'll shoot some pics, they're awesome!!!"
02-08-06 you are selling for $600 and you say that you paid $600 for them from Summit.
Do you honestly believe that we are too dumb to read other posts? Now you try to explain the issue by saying your engine builder...
Two final questions for you:
1) You got all bent out of shape once when a fellow PYer said he didn't work on his own car, and you flamed him pretty bad. But whenever you post anything it is your engine builder, your body guy... Do you really do any real work on your car?
2) Whenever something goes wrong or you find that you opinion does not agree with our why do you blame your Dad? My dad called the guy with the 67 and the price went up. My dad is forcing me to go with EFI. Etc, etc.
Sit back and think about what people are really saying here. Maybe get your father to read it to you because you obviously are not bright enough to get it. And learn something.
BTW smart guy, are you not the same guy who posted his Mommy's credit card number on the forum.

Just an idea...
Even a marginally intelligent borker may be smart enough to just shift their "base" of operations to another place much like this one, complete with a different "online" identity, and spread a whole bunch more grief among other unsuspecting folks, before having their modus operandi discovered.

I had a dealing with Bryan where he tried to screw me on the deal. Offered A 66 GTO to me for 5,000 said he owned it and he had it buy his house in So.Ca--when I was ready to buy, he upped the price and then after that I found out he did not own it and it was half way accross the Country. Very dishonest person--Buyer beware of any dealings with Bryan Jensen. this is what he does when I emailed him telling him I might kick his little but if I'm ever in his area.
I emailed Bryan and told him "If I'm ever in his area I might look him up and kick his little a*s-----This is what he emails me today
Bryan emails me this:
"fyi I did file a Police report with the Sheriff's station and had it put on file, and I have restraining order papers filled out if you try and pull anything funny. You better believe it too because I have the file number here in my pocket, and all I have to do is process the restraining order paperwork should you even get the remote idea you're going to teach me a lesson. Your problem was you bought something and wanted to make YOUR terms before I could complete the sale.
Oh yeah...and get an english dictionary because the f word isn't the only one in the english language
You better watch it, cause you're on notice and these threats you've been sending me via e-mail are now on file with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department"
my terms,as in for the price I was told and to have it in the state that he said it was in--what a little chicken sh*t coward--and I don't realy care about the report--this little turd will probably be fileing alot of these kinds of reports in his life

I hear you there Kurt, but I got just one tiny little note to bring up in some folks defense here, this thread did get it's start in the lobby before it got moved here,so just remember that some may have made a comment or two before it got moved here, and those folks comments, after that move, and up to this point may just be those folks airing a few "final thoughts" type comments on this subject.
My last comment for instance was just to suggest to those that visit other forums that they may want to consider advising those folks about this as well,if they feel the need to do so.
As I only post here I am not going to be concerned with those places,or their members, but some folks here may well be concerned with keeping those respective communities up to date on the latest "individual(s) of concern" and their current transgressions.
But I agree, from this point on this thread should be left pretty much to those with direct dealings with Bryan, and their viewpoints.
As for me,I'm outta here for now...

look...this is the infamous "borkerer" you guys are talking about.
I have absolutely no desire to add fuel to this fire any more. It is upsetting me, and you have all caused me a lot of added grief I didn't need right now.
Could we please stop trying to take the "lets get revenge route?!?!?"
I'm saying I apologize for anything that you think I've done, although I'm only human.
And I realized this: I got in WAYYY OVER MY HEAD BEYOND MY ABILITIES.
AND:
I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY WRONGDOING.
i SAID IT, I'm trying to be a man...and let's stop this because it's worrying me to death///although I do have one last thing to say:
Harold, mabye I didn't do the best on our attempted business transaction...but you totally stepped the line. You worried me sick because I have an innocent mother and sister and father that are involved in this as well. They have sacrificed a lot so I can have a hobby I enjoy to work on. But you put my mother in tears because she was afraid you really were going to come down here and try and do something. I would have laughed this off a long time ago, but I care about my family and I wanted to make sure you didn't cross that line.
I can rip up the report, and the papers if you at least say publicly on PY that you stepped FAR beyond our mutual relationship, and you had to put it on a personal level.
I worked for a man out in Littlerock who had a whole field of old chevy's and Fords. He also works as a teamster for the movie industry. When I was 15...he gave me a job on Saturdays: fire all of the cars over, get them running and make sure they were running okay. He was all nice until he started drinking and smoking....he always wanted to get back at people, and he never had ANYTHING nice to say about anyone. One day I go over there, he's so drunk I can't believe it. Ye yells at me to get my rear up to where he was pronto. Basically he came up with this grand old idea that I was nothing but a young punk and he had better things to do than deal with me...and I minded my own business. He never let me get in a word edgewise, and whatever I did was wrong, stupid...and he always found some way to make fun of me and my views about life.
PY: you've got to understand that I do what I can...I publically admitted I got in over my head....tried to make business deals that were beyond my means. I wore myself too thin, and that is why you are seeing or your interpretation of me trying to rip people off. When you have 2 people yelling at you about taking pictures of a gto you don't have that's at an old man's house that's a 10 minute drive away...you have 10 packages you need to box up because customers are breathing down your neck...30 phonecalls from other people asking if you've got parts...50 e-mails for even more parts requests...you've got an english final at school in an hour, and your mother is begging you to make sure your sister gets to math tutoring on time...do you think it's humanly possible for me to do all of those things efficiently? I tried to lie to myself and say I could, but I can't anymore. It got so bad one day I started on my business at 7 in the morning and didn't finish until 1 in the morning. And I had a senior presentation at 7 in the morning that day!!!
And please, try to realize. I ran this side business because I'm not the kind of person that you have all tried to pass on as "living off daddy's money." We're by no means rich. We live in an ordinary house, in an ordinary part of town...we don't drive escalades with 20 inch rims...and we're certainly not well off. Just because your father is a medical physician doesn't mean anything anymore. Private insurance and HMO's only pay on the average of ten dollars per patient to the doctor for seeing them. That means my dad has to work 3 times as hard to get the same pay he was 2 years ago. I started this business because I felt this was really my hobby, and I felt cheap hitting my parents up for bills on the car. I figured it would take the burden off of them, and that I could try and be more independent. Well it worked for a few months until I tried to expand...and expand...and expand...in the last few months I've spread my name and my business cards for my business to just about anyone interested. So I was able to do good business with 5 people...but I am just one person and I realized I can't efficiently by myself serve 100 people weekly. I physically can't do it anymore....and it's putting a physical drain on myself. I had to rest on Saturday because I pushed myself too hard with school and work.
I am not closing up my business, but I will no longer be accepting any brokerages of any kind...or e-mails reguarding if I have certain parts. I'm going to keep selling what I've got left in inentory....and when that's gone I'll be done. I only want to be in this until my car is running and registered. And when that's behind me, I'm closing up for good.
Alright...now please. Stop it, because it's worrying me sick.
Bryan Jensen

I am venting as someone who nearly got ripped off by Bryan ( a 67 gto person) and have been watching him closely ever since. I got really lucky nearly got burned by this jerk.
Remember the Headers Ass Clown!!!
Just so everyone is aware of his tactics. See below, he begins to say I'm in it for the hobby and no reserve, just to help my Pontiac friends. Others ripping Pontiac guys off, I'm here to change that.......
Then about faces doubles his price and tries to rape you.
Excerpt from Bryan's Ebay site:
I love Pontiacs...I'm not in it for the money, I'm in it to get some satisfaction that I helped a guy get his GTO or Pontiac a little closer to getting it back on the road!!
PS, I do all of this and I am only 18! Here's to spreading the word of the Pontiac to all of the next generation!!!"
Same page he states the following:
"I was hoping that somebody would have taken the buy it now option I had by this point, but it appears that is no longer avaliable. AS WITH ALL MY AUCTIONS, I HAVE A NO RESERVE TO SHOW YOU I AM SERIOUS ABOUT SELLING YOU A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT. However, I cannot simply give away these parts either. AT THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM I WILL ONLY TAKE 150.00 as is stands, either here at auction or from the highest bidder. If the auction does not go up to this point or the buyer does not pay the minimum amount, I am going to relist with a reserve.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but I have to make some money off of what I sell as well. Thanks, Bryan"

That's the crap he pulled on me after the auction ended for $62, he wanted $125. I should have just said screw it and not tried to work it out w/ him. I still ended up w/ negative feedback, a junk distributor and $85 poorer.

I am currious, has anyone ever met this kid in person? his whole thing might be a scam to get people to give him free parts [for his HS project how old will he be when he graduates? 30 ]that he then tries to sell to others at a huge profit [easyto do when you don't pay for your parts] people like this just drag the whole hobby down

Just because your father is a medical physician doesn't mean anything anymore. Private insurance and HMO's only pay on the average of ten dollars per patient to the doctor for seeing them. That means my dad has to work 3 times as hard to get the same pay he was 2 years ago.

Please help a fellow Pontiac guy!!! I am stuck in a VERY frustrating situation right now I am only 18 years old, this car is my love my hobby and my Senior Project!!! Everything I do in some shape or form revolves around it!!! It WAS a father/son project car, however my father fell seriously ILL and he is currently not working. He was my funding for parts for my car, but once he got sick he told me he didn't have a paycheck coming in anymore...so I was on my own to get the car finished. However, I am a broke Senior in High School and if I do not finish it by MAY OF 2006, I DO NOT GRADUATE!!! I AM DESPERATE..EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING MUST GO TO KEEP MY BABY GOING!!! I am trying to raise about 5,000 dollars in the next few months needed for the labor costs TO get it into a body-shop so it can be finished!!! However this is money I do not have at the moment, and the entire build of this car is coming out of my pocket. I'm not looking to make huge amounts of money on these parts I am selling, just enough to cover the costs to get the ball going on my car again!!! Help another young Pontiac guy out and get something neat for your Pontiac as well!!! Good Luck, Bryan
If he put as much effort into his car as he does into these creative lies, he would have a fleet of GTOs.

He wanted to buy a GTO I had on Craig's list for full price, sight unseen, for a customer? He said in addition to the price, he would pay me a finder's fee and would come right up and pick it up. Pay me a finder's fee on my own car. Told him it sounded like the Nigerian scam and never heard from him again and apparently I'm really glad.

A new identity? I think DM fan needs to pull the plug on that one. If someone told me this story about all of this and i hadn't actually seen it, i could absoultely not believe it. Bryan, your "apology" as stated here, if you actually sit and read it is not an apology but an unrepentant excuse. There is no change of heart of mind here, just a switch to another tactic. Please heed some of the advice posted earlier, and just fade out.

After reading all this it saddens me to think someone (if really that young) is just out there screwing other folks for money. With that said, someone needs to be taught a lesson. I had an issue with a seller on ebay once, he screwed me on my purchase. I went the legal route. I contacted the Post Master General and after 2 months time, my ebay problem went away. I am not sure what happen to the seller other then getting threated with possiable charges for mail fraud and since it crossed state lines it became a federal offense. That might have striaghting the fool up, which he ended up doing the right thing for me and hopefully now he will think twice about ever doing that crap to someone else.

At least not yet...
Check his past post's or user page, his "primary account" (Bryan Jensen) is still active.
Not sure what excuse he'll have for using an alias to post with here, maybe it was his "daddy" doing so behind his back again...
If anybody remembers, that's how he started out here,he used the "oh,well this is'nt so and so,I'm actually his son,and I'm only 18" bit, after it became obvious to some he was'nt acting quite as an adult would, well that was when I began to have my doubts about him.
Sad but true.
Oh well,time to start an AKA list,lemme see,Bryan Jensen,a 67 gto person,borkerer...
Maybe he'll end up creating more ID's here than Misus???
We'll have to start a contest, see who can be first to find Bryan's next "persona" !!!

It isn't really an alias if you are stupid enough in your very first post to identify yourself and let everyone your true identity, is it? :confused2
I said in a previous post that he was not man enough to truly admit he was wrong, that he would only try to justify himself, and that any more posts would be of great comedic value. Was I wrong? I think not! :clap2:

I don't have a dog in this fight, but this sure is an entertaining thread. That being said, this sniveling little Bryan turd better find another make of car to exploit. Any goodwill he may have had in the Pontiac world is long gone. Time to switch over to Chebby, Olds, or better yet, the rice-burner fart-can crowd which seems more his speed.

If you have not had direct business dealings with Bryan Jensen, please do not post in this topic.

For the record, I did have dealings with Bryan before, and it did not go well. Nothing as bad as what some of you describe though. That is part of the reason for my attitude towards him. But I had that attitude long before he became a borker.

Bryan-----I have an Idea to relieve all this stress your under and at the same time make me feel better about our dealings--here it is--I lost a date coded engine from all your screwing around and trying to get straight answers out of you--that probably cost me about $2,000 (if I ever find another one)--Then lieing to me about where the car was--that will cost about $800 to have it shipped out here (instead of me making about a 5 hr drive with a trailer--I had lined up for $100--and I own my own pickup)--so the way I see it is this----
cost me for engine--$2,000
cost for shipping (less gas and trailer rent--$ 600
---------
Total that Bryan cost me from lieing and playing games--$2,600
Sooooooooo---Why don't you just pay me--lets just say--$2,500.00--for round numbers--and You'll feel better about yourself--you will have less stress--you'll become more of a man--andddddddd at the same time I will feel like giving you less stress--Seeeeee--We will both be happy--and I could report on this board that Bryan is getting better and is realy changing his ways--------Oh Yah--and I won't take it personal any longer--How does that sound----Bryan?

You are brutal!
I am honest, and I'd tell you to stick that somewhere. I'd give you compensation for a bad deal, but $2,600 compensation? That would be like me asking bryan for $7600.00 because my deal went bad. It is rediculous.
I suppose I'd be riled up as bad as you if I missed out on a date coded engine that matched my car. Sounds like you went deeper into the deal than I did too so I don't really know what I would do.
I've read all of this, and I still can't quite fathom how someone "lost" a date-coded engine for their car. If I had been looking for such an engine, for as long is such a search typically takes, THAT would have been my priority- NOT trying to work a deal on another car, from ANYONE else. Period.
So, if the deal with the little turd had worked out, you would STILL have lost out on the date-coded engine, right? And, you'd STILL be looking for one, right?
I'm not defending this punk- far from it. But there is some blame to be directed toward you, for not setting your priorities straight in the first place.
What is the saying- about a "bird in the hand"?? You have a car. You HAD an engine lined up for it. THAT is where your efforts SHOULD have been. NOT towards some unknown quantity that may or may not be what it is claimed. Exactly how many cars have been described as "mint", and when you went to look at them, they were actually about 95% bondo? This could easily have been the case, and then you would have still been out the needle-in-a-haystack engine.
Unless, of course, you were really hoping to snag a deal, and flip it yourself. In which case, you're mad that, besides the lost engine, you also lost a chance to make some bucks. Which, if that is the case, kinda puts you in the same category is Bryan...

Bryan kept screwing around with straigt answers about the car--I found the engine the day before trying to final the deal on the car but someone else had told the engine owner that they had put a check in the mail to him for the engine--by the time I was able to get a straight answer about the car and then finding out that Bryan did not own the car and the car was in Ohio and I needed to deal with someone else--the guy that owned the engine got the check from the guy that sent it in the mail--without all the BSing around I could have made a bank transfer, which the guy would have let me do--But I didn't want the engine without the car---I explained this to Bryan very clearly as he was playing his daddy wants more gameand would talk to daddy sometime latter in the day--that is when I told Bryan to get daddy on the phone and give him my final offer after he jacked the price up on me. By the time all the bull sh*ttin around got finished engine was gone---and Then after all that I find out from Baron that he owns the car and I have to deal with him on the sale and the car is in Ohio------Now does it make since and why I'm pissed---By the way Bryan had kept changing averything for 2 or 3 days before that.

I was hoping that somebody would have taken the buy it now option I had by this point, but it appears that is no longer avaliable.
Thanks, Bryan"Somebody should report him to eBay for fee avoidance. They don't look too kindly on that.
Looking at his feedback you can see he's nowhere near as as honest as he claims to be...

66, How are you out any money if you did not spend any?
I understand being mad at not getting the date code right engine. Yes, he jerked you around, but you never laid out $2,600.00
How much did you ACTUALLY lay out of your pocket?
As far as the engine goes, maybe it just wasn't meant to be...

I kind a agree with TJH. As far as the date coded engine, it looks like you never had a deal struck with the owner because someone already placed a payment on it. If you bank transfered money to the guy, you would have been undercutting a guy that had a check in the mail for the engine. That isn't right either.
Did you incorrectly breakdown the timeline perhaps?

That appears to be a response to a non reserver sale of 400 for $290 on Dec, 18, 2005. Wasn't his engine apart at that time? How do you lose a rod in an engine on a stand?
Looks like the price wasn't right (even though no reserve) so he screwed someone.
WOW, it does not take long to put together a trail of lies, deciets and victims with this clown.
OK, so you really didn't lose out on the engine. Lke you said, it was technically already gone when you first contacted the seller.
Put it this way- if YOU had been the guy who struck the deal on the engine and immediately put a check in the mail, and then some other guy comes up and snags your deal with cash from under you, then the seller would be the bad guy, and you'd be b!tching up a storm about him, and how he screwed you.
But, since it's YOU that would have been the one with the cash, if the seller had screwed the other guy, that would have been okie-dokie with you?
Look, Bryan is a real piece of work, to be sure. But it really does appear that you have a bit of a double standard going here.
And that really doesn't paint you in a very flattering light...

The engine was for Barons car--which is the same car that I had been dealing with Bryan on except Bryan stated it was his car and in my state 5 hrs away not Ohio--as far as the engine goes, the guy selling the engine had been waiting for the check from the guy for a week and thought the guy was jerking him around--thats why I could have got the engine by wire transfering the money--the guy was getting tired of waiting for the check not knowing if it was realy sent to him or not since it was taking so long---It is true that this HAS NOT COST ME THE $2,000 EXTRA FOR THE ENGINE YET AS I HAVE NOT FOUND ANOTHER YET--BUT I CAN SEE THAT IT PROBABLY WILL--as far as the car being in Ohio--the shipping will be about 600 more--So no the engine has not cost more yet--amount more undetermined--shipping 600 more--time fooling around playing games--lost access to a good date coded engine-- also I should add that the seller had already told the other guy that he would sell it to who ever got the money to him the quickest and he had already been waiting about a week for the check. I don't think that makes me a bad guy, just not sure If the other guy was realy buying the engine and not wanting to take a chance of losing to someone else that might come along--but again I did not want the engine without being done playing Bryans games with the car--as I didn't want to have the money in the engine and not have the car to put it in---I started dealing with Byran on the car days before I found the engine for it but couldn't put the two together because of all the screwing around--I don't think anyone would of done any differently than that--but maybe.

I just wonder how someone doesn't have the intelligence to not have calculated or built shipping cost into the price of a car that is damn near on the other side of the country? Shipping a 3# package across country costs about $15-20. What do you think a 3,600 lb package that has special shipping requirements is going to cost?

I'm not sure why you are so worried about finding a correct date coded engine anyway. Unless you get the original motor stamped with the number marked on the PHS docs, you will never have a numbers matching car. Will having a correct dated engine make it worth more? Pontiac engines are readily available.

in 1966, they didn't stamp numbers on the block
so a date coded block = 'original' or as close as anyone else would come
late in '67 or 68 is when the VIN stamping started

Not completely true. While the VIN number was not stamped on the block, the serial number was. The engine serial number is also on the Protect-o plate if you're lucky enough to have it. Thus, you can determine if the engine is indeed the original one to the car if you have the Protecto plate for the earlier models. I have the Protecto plate for my '65 and the serial number on the plate matches the engine.
Lacking this, you can only go by dates to determine if the engine is likely original...

true true - haven't seen a GTO protecto plate in a while and didn't think about that
but no protecto-plate = no way to tell
(and i own the '66 they're talking about - and i don't have the protectoplate for it)
so, a date coded motor was as good as harold could have done

One of my 67's was a june built car, and it did not have a VIN on it, but it did have a serial no., or engine production number stamped next to the timing cover. That number is listed on the PHS docs. Is it not listed on the 66's? If not, then I guess a date coded engine is as close as you can get.
I did manage to find a correct YZ block for the car I restored. I suppose I could have restamped, but didn't think that was the "right" thing to do.
